I remember posting about this before but I watched Prospero's books at the cinema in Japan. There is a scene with over a hundred, maybe even more nude people swimming and because they had pubic hair it was all censored ie: the pubic area was blurred out. I asked my japanese friend why and he said no pubic hair and it is erotica, pubic hair and it is pornography. I then asked a group of university students a few days later and they agreed.

Same with the movie Shirley Valentine. Tom Conti has a lot of body hair and the censor of that movie did not know where the pubic hair ended so hos entire pubic region to neck was censored. I kid you not.
