I think my new pick for this would definitely have to be Werner Herzog as Julien's dad in Julien Donkey Boy. I just went through YouTube trying to find the best scene featuring his character and couldn't decide which one would do him the most justice.

hristian Bale in Equilibrium. The film has a few other things going for it, but without such a strong actor (and capable of the physical stunts he had to do), it would have been a suckfest.
that movie is under-rated. He's not the only good thing about it though. Hi partner and the female was good too. great movie.
