What Is The Most Disturbing Film?

Has some violent scenes which I'd say are pretty damn disturbing, especially at the end where Joe Pesci and his bro get beaten.

lets see disturbing movies

bully
elephant
deliverance
original texas chainsaw massacre

These are the movie I thought were disturbing but it takes a lot for older, more desensitized people to be disturbed by.

1. Cannibal holocaust- Just ****** nuts. Takes the cake
2. Day of the Dead- Totally brutal human body dismemberment
3. Schindler's List
4. I spit on Your Grave- girls raped and beaten several times in woods
5. Boys don't cry- a girl who puts her life into trying to be a boy.
6. LIE- This movie disturbed me because it was filmed very close to my home. It's about a lonely rich boy that has bastard friends that is driven to the sodomy of a stranger just for the touch of a human.
Those are my picks with Cannibal holocaust at the top of the list.

Pulp Fiction - When Marcelles and Butch were in the hillbilly place. i know it may seem a little less disturbing than the others, but to me, any rape scene is a little disturbing

Schindlers List - All to real

Texas Chainsaw Massacre

On the special edition of Reservoir Dogs you can see the scene when Mr Blonde Cuts the guys ear off and actually see him cut it off.
You're list coincides with my opinions to the teeth. And on the Pulp Fiction thing, if you wanna see disturbing rape you need to watch Deliverance. Much more disturbing in my opinion.

On the Reservoir Dogs DVD I find the way the actual film portrays the "EAR" scene is more disturbing than actually seeing Blonde cut of the ear. That was my favorite scene in the movie by the way. Mr. Blonde is just so bad-a**.

Pulp Fiction? How'd that get there. That's absolutely absurd. Pulp fiction's not even that violent and there were many parts that were pretty damn funny. Not only that, Pulp fiction is in the top ten films of the decade. It's only my opinion but I just think it's a little bold to make it one of the most disturbing movies ever made. Harriet the Spy is more disturbing than Pulp Fiction, ha ha ha.

Either Hellraiser, the Exorcist, or A Clockwork Orange.

Hellraiser- If you are not an avid horror fan, or don't like seeing people being ripped apart by chains and hooks then this could be disturbing.

The Exorcist- Do I even need to explain why this is disturbing.

A clockwork orange- This is a brilliant movie directed by Stanley Kubrick, some many find it hard to stomach though because of the constant scenes of rape, nudity, and beating throughout the film. It was originally rated X and may take a while to appreciate.

Can't stand Jamie Lee Curtis crying throughout the whole movie.

another great trick is when people bought into the "greatness" of that average movie.

Many already mentioned alot of my top disturbing films but ( unless i somehow missed it )one notable exception would be Blue Velvet to be extremely upsetting.

Here a few that will mess you up:

Baise-Moi (french): pretty much thelma and louise unedited

Kids: if this doesn't bother you, you need help

Bad Leuteniant: just be ready to see more of Harvey Kietel than you'll want to

And of course.....Happy Tree Friends! (don't even waste your time)

And if you want to see something truly disturbing watch How to Lose a Guy in 7 days followed by Fried Green Tomatoes. The horror indeed.

Seriously though Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer and Pink Flamingos are both incredibly disturbing. But the A1 grand daddy of all disturbing films is the Traces of Death movies. Real footage of people horribly dying to bad death metal. The guy shooting himself in the head gets me every time.

Watching someone blowing their own head off is not somthing that I would look forward to seeing. I really don't think it's good for the soul whatsoever.

Bug Planet Proximus
you are all forgetting one of the most disturbing movies of all time...
The Wizard of Oz
oooohhwweeeooohhh weeeoooo-oooohh

no. 2 would have to be the entire torture scene in the movie Audition
(i'd like to know if any of you are able to watch it without a white- knuckle, horrified expression on your face)

no. 3 for me is all movies that involve wife and/or women bashing.

no. 4 Seven Beauties, as soon as you see the fat-ass german Nazi dominatrix you know there is going to be something you dont want to see

Just finished Texas Chainsaw Massacre...Jesus Christ.

Hence it being the most disturbing film of all time.

Good Point

Ok, in the effort to NOT cause problems, I'll choose to forgive whoever gave me a bad rep for saying 'Jesus christ' earlier.

Anyways, Requim for a Dream is another one of those disturbing movies...
