Can somebody explain the ending of Coen Brothers' Blood Simple (1984)

I just finally had time to watch this debut movie from Coen Brothers
and WOW
everything was amazing and beyond expectation

BUT
how about the ending scene ?
the water drop scene
what does it means ?
plz explain
it keeps running in my mind
can't get over it
lol

It doesn't "mean" anything other than the Chinese water torture aspect. After all the killing and scheming he did to get this money, here he is bleeding and outsmarted, defeated, and the last thing he may see before he dies or at least before he is arrested is the condensation underneath this old, rusty sink, waiting for the slowly-forming drops to become big enough to fall on him.
