Even though he won an Oscar for Charly it really isn't that good a movie. Despite winning that, he never really achieved super stardom. Here he is a few years earlier co-starring in The Best Man with Henry Fonda, one of his best performances. Since it is the whole movie I didn't embed the video in case anyone wants to watch the entire movie full screen.

You just spoiled my laughs from Street Trash. I've only seen three of his films, as far as I can recall, but I liked him; far too young an age at which to die.

Good work, Will!

Was wondering if anyone made an entry for Cliff Robertson's demise. The guy was a damn good actor--seems he could play anyone. But what I liked most about him was that he was an avid and skillful pilot who really loved aircraft. Also liked that he had the guts to blow the whistle on a studio exec who was scamming money by forging actors' names on checks. Didn't like the fact he apparently had a bad drinking problem, yet he managed to tie that experience with his flying experience and do a great role as an airlines pilot with a drinking problem in a film I think was made for TV. He was a good actor who was his own man--a rare combination any time in Hollywood.

Did I also mention he too was from Texas?
