Ok, so I was completely bored last night, and had just finished catching up on Burn Notice (<----love it!) episodes on Hulu.com, when I happened across this Web Series with Rosario Dawson called Gemini Division.
Since it was scifi, of course, I had to check it out.
Only 2 episodes so far, and kind of Cloverfield-esque, with Rosario's character (and her Beau) constantly speaking to you, the watcher, via their camera/video phone, and of course, chronicling (sp?) their adventures (the whole 10 minutes of it) to date.
I'm not sure Im into 5 minute episodes. Actually, I'm not. Even when I watch amateur stuff on Youtube, it needs to be 8 minutes or longer per episode. Still, this one actually piqued my interest, and I hope that if it is good, (NBC?) and other large media houses will just use their webisodes to tease up interest in shows they will ultimately spawn into feature length television shows.
I'm not sure.
Then you have the Webisodes, which are basically online filler episodes for currently running television shows. These, as far as I know, are meant only to fill in the gap between seasons, keep fan interest piqued, and fan out a few additional storylines. (a la Battlestar Galactica 10-minute webisodes).
So. What web series/webidoes are you into? What's good? (It better be FREE! ) Also, share any insight, thoughts, future forecasts on the lifespan of online shows that you have.
