I saw a comedy film and I can't recall the title....it was made in the last 10 years.... A middle-aged guy working in big city (maybe a banker?) had to return to his home town in the middle of the winter to take care of selling a deceased relative's home.
He somehow has no spending money when he arrives, gets stuck there because of the snow for much longer than he anticipated. He's also stuck staying with and being driven around by a former childhood friend that hasn't matured a day since high school!!
