Now With Moveable Parts
That's just an odd collection of movies. If you didn't tell me the reason those movies were all listed together, I wouldn't say that it was any kind of," Top 100" .

It's just popular stuff. I'm not shocked or disgusted at all. Star Wars: A New Hope is basically the ultimate mix (aside from LOTR: FOTR) of popularity and fine filmmaking, IMO. A great movie that receives widespread recognition and suceeds commercially, and critically. Films like that make my jaw drop.

That's true, those are all pop films. The average person doesn't see everything like us MoFo's, so of course they're going to vote on action favorites such as Speed. There is also bias towards recent films a-la Shrek / Moulin Rouge

Now With Moveable Parts
mmmmm....yeah, all of those movies are widely known.

It makes me feel sick that enough people liked, and voted for, Gladiator enough to get it at #9.

Mischief. Mayhem. Soap.
I don't mind seeing Pulp Fiction and Schindler's List that high up, although there are better deserving films.

Now With Moveable Parts
C'mon Jozie,
what gives?? You gotta remark about every single movie??
You've got a "but", after just about everything. What in the hell makes a top 100 list according to you?
Not American Beauty?
Not The Shawshank Redemption?
Not Goodfellas?
Not Sixth Sense?
Easy Rider gets your "trendsetter" vote, but not Reservoir Dogs?
You need someone to give you a break? Which arm, baby?

Now With Moveable Parts
I winked.
I smiled.
That IS easy.
Okay?

I think most people go to the movies to be entertained, and that's what most of the films on that list do well. Sure a lot of them don't bring anything new to the table, nor are they known for their artistic merits, but they are a fun bunch of movies (for the most part) and are accesible by pretty much everyone. I know that my list of my top 100 films would differ from my top 100 favorite films (if you know what I mean), and I think most people probably just listed their favorite films, which means the list really isn't all that surprising.

Well, everyone IS stupid.
It's quite simple really.
