What are your most anticipated films of '02 as of now.

Mine are:

Minority Report
Death to Smoochy
The Two Towers
PT Anderson's new one
Pinnochio (benigni)
Gangs of New York
Road to Perdition
Spiderman

What are your must-see's of '02!?

Hmmmm, I know I'll want to change my mind about some of these are some point (except for the first two...they're probably immobile)...but here goes anyway:
  • #1 - The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, hands down.
  • #2 - Spider-Man
  • #3 - Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
  • #4 - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones
  • #5 - Austin Powers 3
  • #5 - Bond 20
  • #6 - Signs
  • #7 - Minority Report
  • #8 - Men in Black 2
  • #9 - The Bourne Identity
Not sure what else would go on there...too many to choose form. As it is I'm not positive that I've got 'em in the right order (#3 and #4 might switch). As more is seen from each film, the slots will likely jump around. Anyway, it looks to be an awesome year.

Female assassin extraordinaire.
No order:

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

Austin Powers 3

Harry Potter 2

Resident Evil (it will suck, but I'm going)

Signs (looks cheesy, but I'm going)

Men In Black 2 (will probably fail, but i'm going)

Forgot to add: Panic Room (I wuv Jodie Foster!)

One of my favorite plays. I didn't know they were making a movie based on it. Interesting. Know anything about the cast?

Colin Firth, Rupert Everett, Reese Witherspoon, Judi Dench, and several noteworthy others: IMDB: The Importance of Being Earnest.

...others like Frances O'Connor (Mansfield Park, A.I.), Anna Massey (Peeping Tom, Frenzy) and Tom Wilkinson (In the Bedroom, The Full Monty), directed by Oliver Parker (An Ideal Husband, Othello).

The most famous previous film version of The Importance of Being Earnest is from 1952, directed by Tony Asquith and starring Michael Redgrave (father of Vanessa & Lynn, grandfather of Joely & Natasha Richardson).

Now With Moveable Parts
Colin Firth and Reese Witherspoon. Yay!

LOTR:TT
I don't think I've ever been so certain that a movie will be great.

Attack of the Clones
I'm very worried about this one, but I'm still excited.

Men in Black 2
Hopefully, they came up with a script BEFORE they decided to do a sequel. Saying, "Hmm. We should cash in on a MIB sequel; write something up!" doesn't usually work too well.

Bond 20
Should be very good.

Spider-Man
Not expecting too much. Is the rest of the acting going to be as bad as what I have seen so far? Let's hope not.

There's a few movies I'm excited about. Right now it's Monsoon Wedding and The Son's Room (which was just released here last week), but the only other two I'll mention now are Gangs of New York and Minority Report. If Minority Report's trailer is any indication, we're in for another Spielberg masterpiece. Oooh yeah. And Scorsese is one of, if not the greatest director alive.

Here are mine, in no particular order:

Resident Evil - not a fan of the game, but the film has caught my eye

Spider-Man - been waiting for this one a long time, can't wait

Feardotcom - sounds kinda cool

Lilo & Stitch - who are you to judge me?

MIB 2 - if it's as funny as the first, I'll definitely see it

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - still haven't seen the first movie, but...

24 Hours - if it's anywhere close to the book, it'll be worth a look
