Best twists of all time

Tools

I was just wondering what would you say was the best twist in a movie you've ever seen? Was it the ending of the Sixth Sense, or something else?

Why? Because you didn't expect it? Because it made you look at what had happened previously differently??

All good people are asleep and dreaming.
Diabolique(1955)

Unfortunately, this style of movie has been done and remade so many times it has become cliche'.

true true

a movie I love and was actually took by surprise the first time I saw it.

My top twist goes to Alfred Hitchcock's Rebecca.

Posse, Vertigo, Great Silence also have great surprises.

There's already 2 threads like this, but what the hell...the first, and still the best, mind **** movie I ever saw: Brian De Palma's Body Double.

Nice to see you slummin it viddy.

Do The Wicker Man and Lost Highway qualify?

Top 5 in order

1.Usual Suspects
2.Fight Club
3.Identity (you may say you had it figured out, but I don't believe you)
4.Sixth Sense
5.Unbreakable

The Sixth Sense, it had me fooled till the end, amazing film

Don't tell Robin I'm here!!
I'm gonna' have to go with "The Usual Suspects". Anybody who claims they saw anything even CLOSE to that ending coming is a liar. It was perfectly done.

Some others that I thought were great.....

1) Arlington Road (1999)
2) Devil's Advocate (1997)
3) The Sixth Sense (1999)
4) Suicide Kings (1997)
5) Frailty (2001)
6) Fight Club (1999)
7) Training Day (2001)

Heh heh... 'From Dusk Til Dawn': hell yeah! That twist was TOTALLY unexpected!
But it's not the best, and I have to agree that it had me fooled to the end... That and The Others... I know that it's practically the same as The Sixth Sense, but hey... it's a good thing... until the day comes when they've made too many 'Oh my god! I'm actually a ghost!' movies, I will still stand proudly by my remark...

When I've thought of more I'll come back and tell you... yes I will...

The Sixth Sense, and the Usual Supects I liked best because I never guessed the endings. Training Day was good but I sort of guessed it.
