There was a movie I saw maybe 20 years ago where there is a city of technology and people outside are not allowed to have technology. The main guy in the film had a laptop that he was using to chat with a chick on the inside who eventually gave him a key card to get inside to see her. But one time in the movie bullies tried to steal his laptop and spikes came out and damaged the bullies hand. I think I remember some other chick with colorful hair actually did get away with stealing it but it was so long ago I cant remember too much more or the name of the movie. I was thinking it was code 46 but havent been able to find it again to confirm.
