Dwayne Johnson announced on his Instagram that he will be producing a film adaptation of Robert Ludlum's The Janson Directive. Only he won't be starring in it. Instead, the role of lead hero Paul Janson will be played by John Cena.
"The story follows Paul Janson, an ex-Navy SEAL whose sadistic C.O. in Vietnam turned him over to the enemy. He escaped and returned with evidence of war crimes that caused his CO’s execution. Years later, Janson is now a security consultant whose latest job is rescuing billionaire philanthropist Peter Novak who has been kidnapped by a terrorist."
I'm guessing the film will be updated to make it set amongst the Iraqi War for the opening.
