I hated it before that. You can only imagine how much I hated it during that election.

I realise now that I probably should have named this thread "Songs/Artists you are/should be ashamed of liking."

No one's really ashamed of liking stuff like this though, are they? No one out of their teenage years, anyway. I can understand peer pressure working its evil magic before then. Like "guilty" it's just a shorthand for liking stuff the group has come to see as lacking quality or worth.
