David Lynch: Definitely a normal person

Would we ever want him normal, though? In the context of normalcy, however, what I appreciate the most about Lynch is his ability to transition between the superficially normal and the nominally strange without pause. Reality becomes a dream to the same extent that dreams facilitate the functioning of the facades behind which society operates.

I went and saw this at a local theater, and was left somewhat underwhelmed. I love Alexandre O. Philippe's other documentaries---all of them, really---but this one was much less cohesive. It was more just listening to six (?) interviews of people sharing their perspectives on Lynch and Oz. I think the movie would have benefitted from either incorporating new interviews with Lynch himself, or otherwise reformatting the documentary to present a more cohesive argument/narrative.
