I disagree. I see mockumentaries as a fictional film using the facade/conventions of the documentary as the vehcile to tell its story. Sometimes it's to fake out an audience (Cannibal Ferox, Blair Witch) and other times simply as an artistic choice.

Scary Movie 1 I liked a lot, the rest not at all. I've heard great things about Black Dynamite and some say that Michael Jai White has never been better, so will probably check it out.

EDIT - Can't believe I forgot the Austin Powers trilogy.
