I'd boot these.

I haven't seen about 30 of the flicks on the list, though, so I'm in no position to make many comments. I'd like to offer props for The Princess Bride, Last Tango in Paris, Jerry Maguire, Manhattan, and The Apartment making the list, though. I'd like to punch whoever put Dirty Dancing, Grease, and West Side Story on this list. I don't really hold the AFI in the highest esteem, so I doubt I'll lose sleep over this. Who could forget that travesty of a list, "The 100 greatest american films of all time"?

Any such list is a guaranteed travesty.

No Sleepless in Seattle? I confess, I love that movie. I really do. I'm a sucker for You've Got Mail as well...I've seen it maybe half a dozen times. I'm with you on a lot of the others, though...and I'm so glad that The Princess Bride, An Affair to Remember, and My Fairy Lady got some of the recognition they deserve.

Gigolo Joe's Avatar
Whad'you know?
Has anyone seen a movie called Before Sunrise? I haven't, but I know that it was the same director as Waking Life, and that Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy reprise their Sunrise roles in Waking Life.

I'm mentioning it because James Berardinelli regarded it as one of the best romance movies, so, to anyone who's seen it, should it be there?

JAWS 5: now hes in love!

sometimes i wish the AFI wasnt the AFI and it put foreign movies in, like CTHD for example, and millions of others, or even Seven Samurai, and the Seventh Seal on their top 100 list
