I kind of have two the first is Dr. Strangelove it's great every time I wacht it, which is an awful lot. The second, for those times when my mind is, a little less than sober, is 2001: A Space Odyssey. Not that 2001 isn't great when I'm sober, but it is just so amazing to watch when I'm a bit letf of center.

eyes wide shut and the shining are my favs

Sir Sean Connery's love-child
The Shining, great use of atmosphere, surroundings and Jack at his crazy best. Love Full Metal Jacket as well, not a huge fan of Eyes wide Shut. The man was a genius and is sadly missed, his attention to detail was second to none. RIP.

Hate to admit this, but I haven't seen all Kubrick films. So of the ones I have seen, here's my list:

Dr. Strangelove
2001: A Space Oddysey
The Shining
Full Metal Jacket
Clockwork Orange
Eyes Wide Shut
Spartacus

Haven't seen Barry Lyndon, Lolita, Paths of Glory, the Killing, or AI. But then again, probably shouldn't include AI in this list anyways.

Can we try with real bullets now?
My favorite Kubrick is either Full Metal Jacket or A Clockwork Orange. It is impossible for me to decide which I like more.

Most don't fall madly in love with Barry Lyndon the first time you see it (I sure didn't), but like all of Kubrick's stuff it really requires multiple viewings and in those repeated looks it reveals itself to be one of his very best.

Paths of Glory and The Killing are just plain great. You'll swoon for those instantly.

And by the by, anybody who has Strangelove at numero uno on their list is A-OK in my book.

No, you really shouldn't.

Just a matter of time before I see them. Not like there's much of a choice with current films now.

Dr. Strangelove is genius.

I'd have to go with A Clockwork Orange for his best ever. Malcom McDowell had one of the, if not the, best insane acting job I have ever seen. Dr. Strangelove, Paths of Glory and 2001 would be second. Lolita and Eyes wide shut were very interesting movies, but aren't even in the same ballpark as Clockwork IMO. Full Metal Jacket and Spartacus were good, but not amazing IMO. The Killing and The Shinning were also good in Kubrick terms. Definitely have to say Clockwork.

A Clockwork Orange

Grade: A+++

Steller acting on Malcom Mcdowells part everything is so perfect and it is so orignal, I love it and it deserves to be a classic of modern cinema forever. A great movie.
