Sorry if I'm rude but I'm right
I don't think the movie's got IMDB page. I didn't find it, anyway.

Look, I'm not judging you - after all, I'm posting here myself, but maybe, just maybe, if you spent less time here and more time watching films, maybe, and I stress, maybe your taste would be of some value. Just a thought, ya know.

Sorry if I'm rude but I'm right
Well, that's it, but the storyline is different.

Let the night air cool you off
Sounds like the imdb mafia did some editing on that. Same way they do with a lot of Turkish films. From what I understand this was supposed to be one of the first dada type films.

Sorry if I'm rude but I'm right
It by no means was the first dada film, but it's the best one, if it classifies as dada. It's more surreal than dada, actually, but since the two terms often share same features, I'm not sure.

Holy *****, I guess I should watch that then

Last Year at Marienbad is the highest film on your list I've watched, and as you can see it's figured into my own top ten as well.

When I read these top xxx lists the main thing I want is to find great movies I haven't seen. As your list contains about 175 of those I think it might be the best Top list ever

Wow, I'm flattered

Sorry if I'm rude but I'm right
Interesting, now that I'm looking at the list after some time. If I was to make it today, it most likely would be similar. I have seen some films that would make it high and kick off early entries, but the very top wouldn't change.

My carefully planned porn trolling wasn't fully successful, but I enjoyed teasing Gandalf with my whole franchises in one entries.

Sorry if I'm rude but I'm right
I could, but I want to watch more films before writing about them. I still feel like I haven't seen enough.

many i haven't seen...from the ones i have, i particularly liked two inclusions - The Hours and Teorema...both will be in my top 100 if i make one now...

4. Shame

Who'd have thought that would happen? Well, actually a lot of you. Look at my avatar. I've got Mr. Fassbender there, in case I change it in the future. I've seen Shame twice to make sure it wasn't just a temporary hype and the second time I loved it even more. I even cried. Fassbender was born to play Brandon, or should I say, be Brandon. His total commitment to the role is impressive, because there's no doubt he is talented, but the thing he did in Shame is beyond imagination. My favourite male performance of all time. Carrey Mulligan is great as well, even though overshadowed by Michael's glory, she still puts on a great role. Her version of Sinatra's classic is strangely enigmatic, slow and sad, which perfectly describes the relations between her and her brother, as well as their lives. I love the cinematography and the use of long take during the jogging and Brandon & Marianne walk scenes. The music is particulary powerful when juxtaposed to subway and club scenes. I adore Fassbender's face expressions. Finally such a glory since Maria Falconetti. And not to mumble anymore I adore everything about this movie. Now that I'm writing of it I want to see it again. Damn.

This looks interesting @Mr Minio. What are your thoughts on the film nowadays?

Sorry if I'm rude but I'm right
I've seen it three times as of now. I tried watching it for the fourth time, but gave up. Not because I didn't like it anymore, but because I remembered way too much and it really felt like a rewatch. You see, when I saw a film a couple of years ago, watching it again may feel almost like watching it for the first time. I usually remember the basic concept of the film and maybe some scenes that stuck in my mind, but the overall experience feels almost like watching it for the first time. If I were to watch a lot of the films in this top again, this might feel like watching them for the first time, too. And I'm looking forward to it. Obviously, the more time from my initial viewing, the stronger the feeling of watching it for the first time. It will never really feel exactly like it, but it's close at times. Rewatching some of these in, say, 10 years may really feel like an initial viewing.

Well, I pretty much summed up my love for Shame in the post you quoted. The third viewing proved to be less profound (I already comprehended its structure and plot point), but still incredibly fascinating. I actually picked it back up for the third time thinking I may have overrated it the first two times, but (and this is a very noice butt) after my third viewing, my thoughts about the film did not change much. I think it's the best 2011 film along with The Tree of Life and The Turin Horse.

By the way, I just got 67 reps from you. Thanks!

I definitely understand where your coming from. A re-watch can feel like going through the motions sometimes. Thanks for the feedback, I think I will put it on my watch list now.

As for the 67 reps I just repped all your posts here, This thread is really good!

Yeah, it's pretty old, too. I have long given up the idea of an actual top and replaced it with this list.
