RoboDoc: The Creation of Robocop

This is now included with Prime Video at no extra cost. Considering how much people spent to get the blu-ray version, it's a bargain!

The documentary, which is divided into four parts, runs for almost 5 hours and it is easily the most comprehensive documentary I've ever watched on any single movie.

Nearly every aspect of the movie is examined at length and there are countless interviews with practically every major person involved with the movie and probably every actor who had even a single line in the movie - and even an interview with a little kid whose part got cut due to child labor regulations.

Sadly, there are no recent interviews with the cast members who are no longer with us, particularly Miguel Ferrer, who died in 2017, and Dan O'Herlihy, who passed in 2005.

It goes without saying that a lot of stuff in the movie has seemed nearly prophetic, if not in the details, at least in the essence.

Definitely recommend this one to anyone who's a fan of the film, or anybody who wants a really deep dive into what goes into the making of an action film with extensive VFX (though everything in RoboCop was done with pre-digital effects techniques).
