Yeah, it's been mentioned, but one film series I was wondering about was Species. I can't remember there being slime for definite, but there's plenty of gore and horrible mutations similar to The Thing.

Clearly, I have confused The Green Slime with another space flick. (In the movie that I am thinking of, the extraterrestrial green material is rubbery and more plant-like.) I stand corrected.

That sounds like... Invasion of the Body Snatchers or something.

Would the green stuff in Prince of Darkness count?
