What is the coolest 80's movie you have seen?

Tools

Many great films were made in the 80's. Which do you think was cool?

Some I have seen are:

Big
The Lost Boys
The Secret of NIMH
The Neverending Story

(One or two of these might not have been from the 80's, Im not certain though)

What are your thoughts?

Penny Marshall's Big you find especially "cool"? OK.

In no particular order, here are ten of the tops in defining '80s cool - whatever in the Hell that means, and for me anyway...

BladeRunner (1982)
Angel Heart (1987)
After Hours (1985)
The Blues Brothers (1980)
This Is Spinal Tap (1984)
Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982)
Withnail & I (1987)
The Hidden (1987)
Conan the Barbarian (1982)
To Live & Die in L.A. (1985)

I ain't gettin' in no fryer!
Ferris Bueller's Day Off - for obvious reasons
Goonies
Ghostbusters
Predator - you gotta admit, it was bada*s.
Batman

I'm not old, you're just 12.
Pee Wee's Big Adventure
Gremlins
Beetlejuice
Indiana Jones and The Temple Of Doom
Batman
Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure
UHF
Howard the Duck
Evil Dead 2
Nightmare on Elm Street
The Great Muppet Caper

There are way too many good 80's movies. I can't list them all.

I'll agree with that, especially pretaining to my definition of "cool".

add to that one:
Batman
The Untouchables
Fatal Attraction
Back to the Future

Um Bungo! Um Bungo!
Without a doubt Withnail and I is for me the coolest film that came out of that decade...thankfully carrying a total of 0% cheese.

Gotta go hands down with The Breakfast Club. Great movie you can watch a million times and not get sick of it.

To the several here that I completely agree with, I would also add:

Full Metal Jacket
Heathers
Raising Arizona
The Big Chill
Blue Velvet

There's more... I know there is...

Raising Arizona was pretty funny. How about St. Elmos Fire. That was pretty cool.

Nope. But I do know the theme song to St. Elmo's Fire. You could say it's burnin' in me.

D'oh. I am an ass. I totally forgot those two. Well done, Boo.

I used to have something like that floor piano that Tom Hanks danced on in Big. I had fun with it for awhile. I always thought the fortune teller game he played looked way cooler.

I think everyone wanted that piano. I certainly did.
