This thread is for personal experiences that are similar to a Twilight Zone-type story!
It doesn't have to be some super paranormal incident, alien abduction or near death experience (although we certainly wouldn't rule any of those out) but can just be stories of bizarre coincidences, unusual occurrences, synchronicity or unsolved mysteries.
I'll start with one about a customer who came into a place I was working and claimed to recognize me from high school. I wasn't "on guard" or anything so volunteered the name of the school to which she said she also graduated. I apologized for not recognizing her and I asked, "Class of '82?" She responded "yes."
In hindsight, I realized I was volunteering most of the information, but to the best of my memory I think she mentioned the name of a teacher I'd had when I asked if we were in any classes together - which seemed to confirm her claim (yet, she didn't even look remotely familiar to me).
I asked her first & last name and finally asked if she was in the yearbook. She said she was in the yearbook. (Now, I might not have recognized someone from the 3 years of underclassmen pictured in the yearbook, but I was more than familiar with the graduating class.)
I apologized again, but admitted neither she nor her name seemed familiar to me. (I did admit I'd suffered a head trauma after high school, but as yet had no memory loss from it).
When I got home that day I rushed to my bookshelf and pulled out my yearbook - turned to where her name would be and... nothing! She was not in the yearbook!
So what was this? A gag? A case of a same-named high school in the same state & same year where someone who looked like me happened to attend? I just didn't remember her and she forgot that she'd been somehow left out of the yearbook she claimed with certainty that she was in? A meeting with someone from an alternate dimension who slipped temporarily into mine (or vice versa)?
(And I still think she supplied the name of one of my/our teachers - which seemed a clincher!)
