I don't know about how "attractive" Hanks is...certainly not classically good looking like a square-jawed & cut Adonis, but he is inherently likeable on-screen. I'm not always keen on the films he chooses - and at this point in his career he has first choice of virtually any script around, excepting action pics. But I always find Hanks himself watchable. Then again, I think Joe vs. the Volcano is a masterpiece (straight-up, LOVE that movie), so take my perspective for what it's worth.
