Happy New Year

I’m already bored so Bonne Année! A bit of French might wake me up. Very quiet last night; not a single firework, which is very odd.

I’m here only on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays. That’s why I’m here now.

Bonne Année indeed! I’m somewhat bored already, too, so you’re not alone — but in my case it’s just the 1st Jan effect, empty streets and all. We did have fireworks here in London but, subjective as all this is, I too feel things are somewhat subdued compared to previous years.

I think I heard more fireworks here in NJ last night than usual for New Years.
They started intermittently in the evening and were still going after 1:00 am.
Some of them didn't even sound like fireworks... more like bombs!
It seems like it's just become another excuse for pyromaniacs and explosive enthusiasts.

I heard those too, they must have been really loud! Our cat got scared by all the IEDs that the neighbors set off.
