Worst Movie Ever....

Tools

This topic has probably been beaten to death soo many times....but i just have to say that "Vertical Limit" by far is hte worst movie i ever seen....What a waste of a free rental... if any of you have seen it, you know what i mean

Mischief. Mayhem. Soap.
I generally avoid bad movies........but seriously, the biggest crap I've seen lately is Jurassic Park 3 and Jay and Silent Bob.

And, no. The latter was not a joke.

Avoiding bad movies can be difficult cause your going in with certain expectations, but vertical limit was a god-awlful movie with a good box cover...i never saw any reviews for it i just wanted a mindelss action movie

One of those impossibly broad categories that couldn't possibly have one answer. It winds up being the last few really bad movies you've seen.

But one of my dependable answers for such a question is the dreadful and unwatchable Highlander 2: The Quickening. Not only is it one of the worst sequels ever made, one of the worst Sci-Fi movies ever made, and one of the worst pieces of crap Connery has ever taken for the money (and it is assuredly all of those things), it is just plain awful in every single way imagineable, and easily one of the worst movies I've ever had the displeasure to see.

Many hundreds upon hundreds of others, of course. Unfortunately a never-ending, ever-growing, bottomless list. But The Quickening is always a good answer to what makes a bad movie.

Worst movie ever? Are you kidding me? Vertical Limit is far from the worst movie of all time. I dunno what it would be (when you get into the subject or worst or best, I think, more often than not, you just find good or bad in a "different way." Like asking which sports team is the greatest...easier to pick sport by sport), but it wouldn't be that. I enjoyed watching Vertical Limit. It had me edgy...nervous. Then again, things like mountain climbing freak me out. If giant blades inching towards people, packs of nitro on a steep mountainside, and all kinds of various death-defying stunts don't qualify as mindless action...I dunno what does.

I'm pretty sure there are some terrible porn films back in the recesses of time. Will we ever know the worst film of them all? Yes. Yes we will. God once told me in a dream.

And it was Freddy Got Fingered.

The bad thing about Vertical Limit is the fact that they were up really high on a mountain...freezing their as*es off and no frickin vapor trails...

A lot of things were wrong about that movie and I'm glad I didn't have to see it to know that...

Has anyone ever tried watching a porno? It's about the funniest damned thing you'll ever see. It's the equivalent to the "illegal channels" on American Pie.

Not counting all the cookie-cutter, generic Hollywood slop they pump out continuously, my vote has to go towards a movie that tried too hard to be artsy and cerebral, and turned out to be the only rental film I turned off half way through:

My Own Private Idaho

This movie just plain sucked.

Vertical Limit is far from the worst movie I've ever seen. I got dragged to see that damn film by a small group of friends and although I knew it would be horrible I decided to compromise and go see it. That was a mistake. It isn't a horrible film and I guess you could say that it was a little less than just OK but it's probably one of the few times I've gone to the movies and not enjoyed myself. As far as Higlander 2 , Holden I pretty much knew to stay away from that one from the pictures of Sean Connery looking ridiculous alone

I'd have to say one of the worst movies I've ever seen would have to be U Turn . I thought that was absolutely horrible when I first saw it. I don't even remember all that much about it but I do remember that I hated it and that it was quite ridiculous.

I'm learning to wait until after the movie is out and hear some responses to it if i'm not sure if I would like it or not.

If I know the director, the cast, and whatnot, I'll be daring and check it out.

So be wary of a movie that you think looks good...it might be the exact opposite...we could be in the dun dun dun... Bizarro Jerry world...

Vertical Limit was a movie about mountain climbers not climbing mountains.... every single dramatic part such as the begning and the end didnt show how they got out of the ordeal...

WARNING: "Vertical Limit" spoilers below
In the beginning where they are stuck on the mountain wall with only 1 pin holding 3 people...and chris o'donell cuts the rope, after that, how,the hell did they save there own life? or why would you risk 5 lives (i think) just to save 1?

ADMIN EDIT: spoiler tags added.

WARNING: "Vertical Limit" spoilers below
They probably radio'd for help. If they can hang there, they can figure something out...but they need time. Mountain climbing isn't exactly fast. And no, it wasn't 5 lives...though I'm not sure what you're asking. It looked likely that all 3 of them would die, so the dad was cut loose so those two could live.

Huh? Got any reasons? I love that movie.

I never saw Vertical Limit and I have no desire to. Actually, I don't even remember if I saw it or not, which really isn't a good sign.

[in regards to me not liking My Own Private Idaho ]

The whole plot about gay homeless boys didn't get off on the right foot with me.....but I do try to keep a pretty open mind about movie subjects.

The characters and their lines just seemed goofy to me. It felt like contrived eclectiveness. Hard to follow, hard to enjoy.

Worst movie ever?

Attention Shoppers!

What was that all about? Okay, so it's a straight-to-video feature. It's a very boring movie. Although the concept of setting a film in K-Mart is interesting, it was done all wrong.

Make sure that this movie never catches your attention.... the cover falsely adverstises that Luke Perry is the lead star. NOT! He's in it for... I'd say five minutes.

S.C.

i probably cant remember, but of those i can, scary movie 2, or domestic disturbancs, these werent even funny bad.
