Sounds like every made for Hallmark movie. If they were allergic to peppermint or gingerbread instead of strawberries it could be one of their Christmas movies.

Guy helping his best friend who is getting married, sounds like Made of Honor. But I don't remember if there was any cake tasting scene in it. I watched several years ago.

There are a lot of films with such a plot, but I just can't remember where the scenes with the tasting of the cake were, maybe the film "More than a friend".
