Is Mr Deeds a remake of Mr. Deeds Goes to Town? I doubt that Adam Sandler can live up to Gary Cooper.

It's not a remake as such, it's sorta, kinda inspired by Mr Deeds Goes to Town. But Sandler isn't trying to fill Gary Cooper's shoes or anything like that.
