Movies You Anticipated To Be Good That Turned Out To Be Disappointing

Along Came Polly. It looked great from the previews, but they basically gave away all the funny parts.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding. This has to be one of my biggest disappointments. Everyone was saying how great it was. After I saw it, I just sat there thinking -- "That's it?". The plot was so straight forward and it wasn't funny.

Attack of the Clones: The trailer made it seem like it would be better than TPM, but it turned out to be far worse.

Kill Bill Vol. 1: Overhyped and way over the top.

Bend it like Beckham + My Big Fat Greek Wedding: I was under the impression that these were comedies, but I didn't notice a single joke in either of them.

Yeah me too. The Phantom Menace might have sucked (except for the pod race) but Attack of the Clones had a touch of its own.

another movie i was disapointed in was the ring. i didnt find it scary at all. and it was pretty boring

Dodgeball is a comedy among comedies. How can one hate it????

I appreciate that. The main reason why I hate the film so much is the script. C3P0's stand-up bit during the final battle just killed it for me.

yup.. Matrix sequels, Hollywood's The Ring, etc

I was dissapointed with Cabin Fever too but Kenny was cool and the film was pretty gorey!

Shame about Big Fish, admittedly its not dark or gothic like other Burton's but I loved it

Troy tops my list as well. Man, was it crap.
Van Helsing would have been a disappointment if it wasn't for all the bad reviews i read before i went to see it, so i had absolutely no expectation and it turned out great! it was VERY funny. Especially the ending
