I find criticizing people's English on the internet to be a fruitless endeavor, it's like complaining about the cold in the Arctic. You know what you're getting into when you hit the dial button, really.

Anyhow, I find Chicago's posts hard to comprehend and, well, after a day of cross-checking hacks' articles with the OED, the lawyer and Grammar for Dummies I really don't have it in me to attempt to fathom anymore gibberish. So, I can't work out exactly what the bruhaha's about.

Anyone feel like giving me a concise summary?
