I am studying filmmaking and have been given an assignment wherein I have to design a film festival program to be run in my local city.

The idea I have chosen revolves around introducing the local...

Re: Best with a lightsaber?

I think that if you want an official ranking, Mace Windu is first, Darth Maul second.

Re: The Piano (1993) - Analyze a Still Image

I have not seen the movie and my help is limited because for an image like this - there's not much in it - the context is probably important.

You might consider the colour of the ocean - cold,...

Best M. Night Shymalan Movie?

Re: Best M. Night Shymalan Movie?

Sixth Sense, Unbreakable (then Signs).

The Village is all right, but I wouldn't consider it necessary viewing as far as Shaymalan's work is concerned.

His work is going downhill - maybe he's...

Re: So I finally saw the Lord of the Rings Trilogy

So what about Conan?

Re: So what about Conan?

I'm a fan of Conan, usually don't mind a bit of the old Schwarzenneger, and love fantasy: but I think the original Conan sucks. The only thing I liked about it was Thulsa Doom's personality and how...

Re: Is Green Screen Used More Than You Thought?

Maybe Jack and Morgan aren't as fit for travel as they once were. :P I think it would be something like that - or it simply just was cheaper to green screen. A film is a product made by a business,...

Poll: Tony Scott what's your favourite

Re: Tony Scott what's your favourite

I've only seen Man on Fire, True Romance, and Top Gun.

I like True Romance better but I think that has more to do with Tarantino than Scott, so I'm picking Man on Fire.

Re: Are you ready for Terminator 5 & 6 ?

This entire movie (except for about the first 7-8 minutes) is on Youtube, and I watched it just recently. Very nostalgic.

Re: How important is Jurassic Park

Jurassic Park is a film I saw as a child, so I'm not sure whether or not that factors into my liking of it. I think it's a good example of what Spielberg does well: a solid, entertaining story,...
