Well one movie I can think of the foreign original had better considerably better cinematography than the American remake is Infernal Affairs.

It would be strange doing it with a woman though, cause I read the lover is a woman too. As long as it plays naturally into the story, and is not forced pandering or anything.

Well as for the face swapping, as long as the characters have motivation to do it, then it seems to make sense, and when you can just make a copy of someone's face like that, it helps to use that...
