I have a sneaky suspicion the speculation surrounding a Raging Bull sequel was jumpstarted by the news that the producer/director and leads of last years The Fighter is open to a sequel.

they could make a dozen sequels now, it doesnt matter. Its the first lame-o you remember.

Sort of like what happened to Meatballs. Original was a small fun flick with a tried and true us vs them...
