I'm starting with one of my favorite songs, sung by one of my favorite singers:
1) Neil Diamond - Beautiful Noise http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=duu_KqrRfsQ |
Re: GBG's Non-Country Music Count-UP
You should include some country music!
I like Neil Diamond. I think my favourite is Cracklin' Rosie |
Re: GBG's Non-Country Music Count-UP
Okay, I'll admit it. I always end up singing along to Neal Diamond songs when I hear them.

I like Neil Diamond. I think my favourite is Cracklin' Rosie I may try to sneak a few country crossover hits in here. We'll just have to wait and see. :) |
Re: GBG's Non-Country Music Count-UP
If it's good country you can include it.
And I think I'm not going to make my own music thread. It's gotten too mainstream!!! |
I'm glad to see some love on the board for Neil Diamond and country music. :)

This song isn't officially on my list, but I love it, and I wanted to include it because today is Jim Henson's birthday:
Bonus Song #1: Kermit the Frog - The Rainbow Connection (from The Muppet Movie): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5_y0s-COl8 |
No love for Jim Henson and The Muppets? :(

Re: GBG's Non-Country Music Count-UP
Somebody nominated that in a song tournament I think.

I've decided that since I seem to be listening to this by myself anyway, I'll start adding one country song per day, in addition to the 2 or 3 non-country songs every day.
Country Song #1: Kenny Rogers - Twenty Years Ago http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bT3NDuGTJgk |
I like this song because it has such a catchy tune.
3) Scritti Politti - Perfect Way http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_gjZSVOELbI |
I also want to add this song as a bonus song for Christopher Reeve's birthday today. It was written for him after his accident.
Bonus Song #2: Hal Ketchum - Hang in There, Superman http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inspPshDJis |

"Twenty Years Ago" is one of my favorite Kenny Rogers songs. He sang it in concert here before it was released, and I fell in love with the song. I remember having to wait almost a year before the album was released. |
This is one of the most beautiful songs ever.
4) Dan Fogelberg - Longer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Go6I2_PpBU |
