The Avatar Thread
 

Just occurred to me that there's a thread for Profile Banners where you can post your new one or post up creations you made/found for others to use...


But there's no thread for actual Avatars on the same subject (though there is one for showing off your newest avi made by SC).


So, here's the Avi Thread... like with the Banner Thread, ideas you have that might suit someone else, cool stuff you've found that someone could use etc...


If posting actual avatars, the dimensions are no wider than 110px, and no taller than 90px.


I'll kick off with these as TMNT2 is out this year...

Alright I'll give this a go. I did see that SC thought of this idea first, but I'm here now:p So, Rodent, SC or whoever, post some Orson avatars that are sized and ready to go....and I might use one.

Iro, saying youd give Escape from New York a 10, what number would you give the L.A. sequel?

Based on a recent re-watch, I'd give it a very subjective . I don't deny that it's got its issues but I generally like how much it plays like a ludicrously over-the-top remake of the original.

I think Camo has one of the better avatars on MoFo. I have no idea who it is, but it seems to suit him. Some avatars are that way, they suit the individual to a tee.

I believe it's the comic book character "Preacher."

I strongly prefer this one to the one Yodas currently using. This one has all the fixings from the dramatic stare, slow draw, and then weapon charge

Rodent's animated Yoda is nice but it moves slower than the one Yoda is actually using right now.

I would probably use the one Yoda is already using.

I love the light-saber's avatars that Rodent made, it would be kind of cute that all the forum had them. Shame I'm not that into StarWars, and that green is already taken :(.

I was rewatching HIMYM and I saw a reference to Mrs Doubtfire, that movie rauld have an avatar from, I looked it up and then find out that old lady was Robin Williams. Then I watched Barney and I recognise it.

Anyway, I've switched from Jessica Harper to Sean Young in Blade Runner. I'm going to buy a load of posters for when I head off to uni to make my room seem more homely and I'm probably going to buy this photo in poster form, most likely in colour! There's a still from Howl's Moving Castle I may buy, and obviously a Suspiria poster, too! :D

I was going to buy a Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill! poster, because it's so very retro and vintage, but the main woman's boobs are far too gigantic and take up most of the frame, so that's a no :lol:
I'm not sure what other film posters I want to buy, maybe some Star Wars ones though, I've always adored their posters.

This is about as good as I could get it. Kong being black furred makes it hard to pick out a lot of detail. I layered the image so I could do the background and Kong separately.

Well I have very fond memories of some of them.

That was strange to find out about the poisonous sting they have – worse than a snake bite apparently.

I saw a giant anteater in a documentary recently and that's incredibly strange, especially those big claws for crunching into anthills.
