I am a member of www.movieforums.org and for the past couple days have not been able to access it.

He should, its not a bad looking site. There's a ton of spam on it though. So he would be a busy little bee for the first couple of weeks. The guy that owns it rarely visits it and there aren't any mods there. I wouldn't be surprised if it got shut down. Movie vault isn't working either.

Yeah I post there, and need my movie talkin fix! No offense, but you all are too artsy for my taste. I started a Movie Guessing Game here, and I never heard of such gay obscure cinema in all my life! LOL! Does anyone know if it will ever come back up? Does anyone know how to reach ClairOfTheMoon my co-movie critic?

We haven't spoken in awhile Rob because I've basically stopped posting there. I know this is probably going to go over your head (again) but that gay obscure cinema you're referring to is actually really good. Again I say to you maybe you should try some out instead of just taking shots at it all the time.

WHOA! Nobody think Im a gay bigot please. Im a licensed masseur, and that should at least prove Im not redneck. Ive seen some and thought it good (gay obscure cinema). Made it impossible in the game to guess what movie was what is all.

Honestly, Rob, you've got me confused. I've been here for eight years and don't ever notice a preponderance of any one kind of discussion here at ALL. I find this the MOST well-rounded movie site out there.

And the fact that most of us can type in complete sentences is just a plus. :D

Yes, there is at times, a higher quality of film being discussed here. No matter where you go, there will always be some rude people. It's still a board, with it's little click of friends (People that already know each other). That board is just a hell of a lot smaller than this one. I wasn't welcomed in much at all.

I did have my own computer repair forum for awhile, but the time involved to do the site justice was just too demanding. I am on other forums here and there but these are my staples.

Out of all of them however, this one brings me back day in and day out and gives me that warm and fuzzy feeling. Yeah I am a sap, but hey I could be a worse thing than a sap. :)

Well, first off, you're fooling yourself if you think they "never have and never will" have issues -- that's impossible. Being on a dedicated server is not particularly special or unusual, and isn't any sort of major guard against downtime, either.

That said, I obviously won't put our server up against whatever Blu-Ray.com is running on, because I'm sure it's a massive site with plenty of operational funds, but I don't know what "crappy server problems" you're talking about. The overwhelming majority of users report quick response times and actual sustained downtime has been very, very minimal over the past 6 months.

I will put our site up against any other in terms of organization, ease-of-use, special features, and spam response time, however. That's what important to me, and that's what important to most MoFos. If someone wants something else out of a movie forum, hey, good for them; but they can go elsewhere for it.

Once here and there when I log on, I am not able to get connected to Movieforums. It happened just two days ago. As long as I've been on those other two forums there has never been any problem.

Hello everyone, I apologize profusely for the site downtime (4 days now!). Unfortunately, one of my servers crashed and the data was wiped. I did have many backup solutions in place, but a series of unfortunate events occured (Murphy's Law). To make matters worse, the server crash occured right before I went on vacation - I am currently writing this on my laptop in he hotel room. We have recovered most of the data now, but there is one particular file that didn't get backed up which is vital. Unfortunately, it is on my home computer. That's just classic. The guy is asking for donations? This guy Spams his own sites. I kid you not. You know those wonderful little highlighted words you run into on some sites? Where if you click on them you get an ad? They're all over his forums even in posts that users submit. Kinda sad really.

To put it simply this is a superior forum. Plus, as you may remember before I basically left I was complaining at length about all the Spam there and after I was told that we not only had to report it ourselves but that a large part of it was intentional, I was fed up. :mad:

Anyway, nice to see you again I hope you stick around here.

Why are there so many posts with me and the word flirting in them? I used the search function (for once ;) ) and typed in flirt. I am all over the place and I do not even flirt at all. I tried sarcasm and nothing came up with me in it, so I must be speaking gospel.

Hi claire. Yeah i stopped coming on this site aftrer a while but since tyler done a runner on us i decided to come back to my old haunts. lol. :p Hopefully movieforums.org will be back up again.
