Rashomon was a good pick. Didn’t quite rise up to Yojimbo, Kagemusha and Seven Samurai. I really need to watch more older Japanese films, sadly.
Adaptation from Neiba was a perfect selection.

One of the best recs ever, not just hof, thanks! (Added to my top 100 of all time, and probably top 10 War movies of all time)

Rashomon is not one of my favorite Japanese movies, or even one of my favorite Kurosawa movies, but it's considered a must watch by many film buffs.
