Except this instances where the sequel is better or just as good as the original, of which there are many. Did you like The Empire Strikes Back? How about Aliens? Rocky 2? Star Trek II is clearly better than the first film, too...

^^ I felt that Star Wars (1977) and Alien (1979) were better than their sequels. The only instance whereby sequel is better than the original is Mad Max: The Road Warrior. (IMO)

I thought the entire Star Wars trilogy was about as perfect as it could get, and even loved those little Ewok fellas. As for Alien, it is quite different from Aliens to me. I love both, and don't judge them against each other.

No i didn't like Titanic 2. Titanic 1 was the best romantic i have watched. Several times i have downloaded Titanic and watched. I never get bored this is one of my favorite movies.
