Hi im punker69 and since I see alot of movies and write alot of reviews I decided to post em.So im trying out a few other sites right now and finding out which one I want to be the permanent home of "Movie Picks".
Here's one from a week ago.
"Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow"
Synoposis:Famous scientists around the world have mysteriously disappeared and Chronicle reporter Polly Perkins (Gwyneth Paltrow) along with ace aviator Sky Captain (Jude Law) are on the investigation. Risking their lives as they travel to exotic places around the world, can the fearless duo stop Dr. Totenkopf, the evil mastermind behind a plot to destroy the earth? Aided by Franky Cook (Angelina Jolie), commander of an all-female amphibious squadron, and technical genius Dex (Giovanni Ribisi), Polly and Sky Captain may be our planet's only hope
Review:I respect the directors vision and making a film different visually from what audiences have seen before, but despite it great action sequences at the beginning the movie just turns into same old "save the world movie".The characters arent that likeable and there personalties and backgrounds are a little hard to figure out which can get confusing.I also thought it was just a little to predicatble and that it focused more on paying homage than making new movie. All an All I recommend a rent or buy for what the film does have to offer like effects and a something people are rarely gonna see in a flick.Just dont expect the whole film to be as fun as the first 30 minutes.

Yeah,I know, sorry about posting it in the wrong forum.People are welcome to move it.
By the way,how do you become one of the reviewer's that I saw at the top of the "Review forum" I have alot of great reviews that I wanna post but not all in one thread.
Well, this thread got moved fast.
It's better off just to make one thread like "Punker's Reviews" and you notify us when you did a new review what so ever.
When you become an active memeber, chris(Yoda) will probably put you up there, cause its just useless if he puts you up there and you did a few reviews and never come back to the site.

Well I'll come back just as long as my reviews get noticed.
*sigh*
What makes a new member think that a forum with nearly 200,000 posts has never once had a thread where people recommend movies to each other?
It doesn't help that his username makes me want to do Drano shots.

Heres a review from the back in the day ( one month ago )
This is one of the best film I had ever had the pleasure of reviewing and one of the my favorite movies ive seen this year.
"One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest"
Synoposis-A new rebellious patient is brought to a Mental Instituian where his antics affect the other patients and bring on the wrath of the Nurse of the ward.
Review-Wow,what a touching movie, and easily Nicholson's best. The story basically follows around this Mental Institution and the characters within giving us plot and character development that really matters in a film like this.Louise Fletcher plays the part of the Nurse wonderfully and she is always so stern and into her character as the rest of the cast that you have to remind yourself its just a movie. If it where up to me everyone person in this cast with a mental illness who played a part would get an oscar.I think the part I enjoyed most was when Nicholson didnt get enough votes to watch the world series and then he sat down at the tv and called the game play by play as if he was really there and then he had everyone cheering that was such a powerful moment in this film and very touching. All an All if you havent rented it already than nows a good time to get out of your chair and grab a copy.

Here's a double documentary feature.
"Fahrenheit 9/11"
Synopsis: ''Fahrenheit 911'' is Michael Moore's reflections on the current state of America, including the powerful role oil and greed may have played after the 9-11 attacks. In this provocative exposé, Moore will tell the one story no one has dared to tell as he reveals the events that led the US into that apocalyptic September 11th moment and why the country is now at war.
Review:Wow,what a powerful and thought out film.Michael Moore is just an expert at uncovering the facts and exposing the truth to the American people.I was suprised at how much I liked the film despite the fact that i'm a republican. The movie is funny when it needs to be with the songs, and different jokes that are made towards Bush but it also has a side where your heart is broken because this woman lost her son in the war and she's in Washington crying. This film makes you want to question your beliefs and your political stand point and it forces your to take a second look at the war and just what exactly is going on over in Iraq. Some incredibly shocking footage is when a woman is able to take 2 lighters and 4 packs of matches on a plane and a woman if forced to drink her own breast milk to prove to the airline security that there wasnt anything dangerous about it.Also the fact that there was 8 patrol officers for the entire coastline of oregon due to budget-cuts is just very fascinating.Alot of things that you didnt know about Iraq and about are security are all exposed in this film and im giving it a big thumbs up so All an All go rent this film,I think people of all ages should this fascinating documentary of the aftermath of Iraq and it will raise the question "how much do you really know about whats going on".The one thing I didnt like about it however was that Moore made cheapshots all along the movie at Bush and officials.Such as them doing there hair or even smiling at the camera and I thought those things where uneccessry but whether your for the war or against the war I think everyone should see it.Moore is a terrific filmaker and I really did like this film and am planning on buying it soon.
"Fahrenheit 9/11"-4/5
"Super Size Me"
Synoposis:Movie about a man named Morgan Spurlock who decides to eat nothing but McDonalds for 30 days and the results are shocking.
Review:I liked this film a whole lot.Morgan Spurlock decides to eat nothing but McDonalds for 30 days and if they dont sell it he cant eat it.Also if they ask him if he wants to go super-sized he has to do it.As the days progress we see Spurlock becoming weaker to where he cant even climb up a flight of stairs without losing his breath. He is being watched by three doctors who all watch his health deteriate. They plee with him to stop but he's desperate to make a point. His girlfriend is even worried and comments on there love0life going down the hill.Spurlock then became depressed but whenever he ate food he got happy again so you can kind of see his mood swings that he gained from the his fatty diet.It shares some frightening facts about America and the amount of obese people and that enough people to occupy Spain eat fast food everyday.Anothing thing Spurlock did was go to two schools. One where kids where served fatty foods, soda, candy, deep fried lunch and another where kids where served healthy meals and milk instead of Coke. The results, one had kids that where all roudy and loud but the ones at the school that served the nutricious meals where more focused and calm. All an All frightening but funny film and after seeing this movie I dont have any need to go to McDonalds every again.

"The Grudge"
Synopsis: A curse that befalls someone who dies in the grip of a powerful rage. Those who encounter this murderous supernatural curse die, and a new one is born -- passed like a virus from victim to victim in an endless, growing chain of horror.
Review:I seriously disliked this film. The movie is just filled with jump scenes from beginning to end and it focuses more on the scares than the actual story and plot. It's so confusing when the film jumps back in time and forth again without even letting the audience know. The sub-plots do not tie in with the original plot and they end up just being confussing and pointless. Then at the end when where seeing Newman and Gellar in the room I didnt know what was going on and neither did half the people in the theater. Also the actors are so dumb when a sound or noise happens in the house they slowly walk toward it just like "scream" or "I still know what you did last summer"leaving out originality. By the time the film try's to explain it's lame plot I was already ready to walk out and it was just a mess from beginning to end.All an All if your a fan of cheap scares and tacky plots then this is your movie.

I'm glad. It was my only friend in the world, and now that I swallowed it, the bug will be with me always to keep me company so I'll never be lonely again. Once you befriend bugs, I recommend you swallow them and give them a nice home. And my bug is quickly becoming addicted to coffee, living inside my belly.

Wow, Spurlock's banter really had that much of an effect on you?? While there were some pretty good parts to this movie, i still think it's highly overrated and a bit of a snoozer.
I give it a 3/10

Sorry I havent posted in a while.
I dont think its overated and most documentary's useually get good reviews and this one was pretty ineteresting and spurlock is alot of fun to watch. So it deserves some recognition and a rent or buy.
I watched one of the more delightful movies of the year last weekend when I saw "The Incredibles".Unfortunately I didnt get to see the Star Wars trailer wich made me really sad....and angry! For it was all sold out!
Anyways,here we go.
"The Incredibles"
Synoposis:Bob Parr,a used to be superhero,is now a man with a normal life who punches a time card rather than villians. Now he gets a second chance to be a superhero when he gets a mysterious message from a island requesting him and superhero services.
Review:Its not as funny or refreshing as "Finding Nemo" but that doesnt take away from the fact that this film is funny, entertaining and one of the best family movies of the year. The movie deals with a man who used to spend his days fighting crime but now spends his day at a desk.He then gets offered to return being a superhero again and he takes the oppurtunity. What he doesnt know is that the kid fan he shyed away from years ago is the boss who plans to destroy him.It has great animation and I like the action scenes and how the whole family have there different powers and then when they show the whole family using there powers in different ways to help out,is really cool.I also think that Edna, who designs the teams suits,is one of Pixars funniest characters yet.All an All with a great story and wonderful animation there's no way you can possibly go wrong. The Incredibles is a fun rollercoaster that will be great for the whole family.

maybe we just have different ideas of what a documentary is. This film intentionally misrepresents facts to prove a point. To me, that's propaganda, not a documentary.

"Friday Night Lights"
Synopsis: Based on the book by H.G. Bissinger, chronicles the 1988 football season of the Odessa (Texas) Permian High Panthers, capturing the struggles and hopes of a financially troubled town that pins its dreams on the team's Friday night games.
Review:One of the better sport's movies ive seen in awhile and it was a real suprise.I thought it was gonna be a typical hollywood cliche sports film but it turned out to be something completely different. The story was very deep and intense as the characters take you on an emotional journey through there last highschool football season. Most sports films are glorious when the team wins the game but this film focused more of the glory when the relationship's are tied up at the end.I almost cried when the abusive father hugged his son in front of the entire football stadium. Then we have the story about Boobie Miles after he is injured and we see him try and cope with the loss that he'll never play again. Also Billy Bob Thorton offers a great performance he had very considerate but yet menacing personality that I think all great coaches in movies should have. All an All it was great it had great football game sequences and great performances by the cast. Its a real shame it isnt being nominated for an Oscar for best adapted screenplay.

Not being an A-hole or anything dude but I honestly thought The Grudge(as bad as it was) was leaps and bounds better then Dodgeball, and that Envy was at least funnier then then Dodgeball... And also that Godsend was infinitley better then I,Robot.

I dont feel particularly bad about "The Grudge" seeing how it was horrible and it made alot of other peopls top ten worst as well.As far as "I,Robot","Dodgebal",and "Envy" they where just personal likes and dislikes.

And also that Godsend was infinitley better then I,Robot.Dodgeball kicked ass, man. One of the best comedies of recent years. The Grudge, though slick in it's presentation, was not all that great. And I, Robot and Godsend both sucked equally.
Besides, if we all had the same taste (as I've said 100 times before) there would be one exhausted woman out there hiding under her bed.
Honestly Punker, I'm amazed at all the garbage you choose to see. Can't you tell that most of these movies are going to be terrible before you even go? Or do you go just so you can write a mini-review for them? If the latter is the case...good job taking one for the team.

Nitzer, my comment was directed toward Electric Wizard. It was made to prove my point; that we all have differing tastes and what one sees as a masterpiece, or just good, may be another’s idea of trash.
I didn’t bash Punker at all. I didn’t bash Wizard at all. I didn’t bash anything, come to think of it. I asked Punker why he chose to go to so many movies that, I assume, he would realize weren't going to be any good in the first place.
Okay? Misunderstanding over? Or do you want to "put me in my place" some more?

"Ray"
Synoposis:A dramatic depiction of the life of Ray Charles.
Review-Well I just got finished with "Ray" and I have to say that it was a very special treat.I cant praise this film enough. It showed the life of a music legend and how his life was torn between affairs and a heroin addiction.Jamie Foxx is a truely gifted actor. How he was able to get inside Ray Charle's head and be able to move like he did and think like him was amazing to watch on-screen.It was like I was really watching Ray Charles.I found myself staring at the screen in awe during the scene's of Charle's grueling recovery of being a junkie. It was amazing to watch because Ray Charles was a very complex man.He appeared soft and likable on the outside so you would never expect by looking at his the deep tormoul and despair that flowed through his body.He deals with hillucinations about when he brother died by drowing in a washing bin.Charles suffer's with the feeling of guilt knowing that he could've saved his brother and it haunnts him all of his life.
It also containts great music. If I where to imagine a live performance by Ray Charles it would be what this movie shows.I like how Foxx depicts Charles in moving to the music as he plays.
All an All with a great performance by Foxx and a great musicle score this is one you dont want to pass up.

Zombie Lover, you may have noted by now that I end all my reviews with "all an all" to summarize my review up.Get used to it :D
Lance, yes im serious.I found the film droning and rather lame.I didnt think the kids where good actors and being fresh isnt always a good thing.Big waste of my time.
I agree with Punker that The Grudge was terrible while I, Robot and Dodgeball were superior to most of the crap released today... and trust me, when it comes to crap I'm an expert ;)
As for Napoleon Dynamite, you lost me there 'bro! I just watched it for the 2nd time last night and my brother-in-law and I spent the entire day quoting it at work... An absolutely hysterical movie that gets funnier every time I see it. On a related note, have ya'll watched the wedding scene after the credits roll?
Punker69
02-16-05, 10:18 PM
Ive have seen the wedding scene and didnt think it was funny at all.Just dry and bland.I didnt know why anybody though Napolean riding a horse was out-loud laughter worthy.Believe my I did and still do get alot of crap for hating this film but I cant help myself. It was stupid down to the last line and a total waste of my time. The only scene I can give this film credit for is the dancing scene towards the end.
Anyways here's a review.
"Bowling for Columbine"
Synoposis-Controversial filmaker Michael Moore set's out to explore America's gun policies and it's many flaws.
Review:I reallu liked this film by Michael Moore.Michael Moore continues to prove himself to me as being a bold and proffesional filmaker who knows how to voice an opinion and doesnt let people get in his way.He presents a interesting view on America and our gun policies and why we are the most violent nation on the planet.I was shocked when I found out more than 1,000 people are killed by guns in America each year.Way more than any other country around. He explores the Columbine shootings and what exactly caused the two boy's to killed 12 students at the school. The scenes of the phone calls from the people inside the school at the time of the shootings and the security footage of inside the school alone it worth renting the film.It really does something to your heart when you find out that a six year old girl was killed by her classmate who brought a gun he fouund lying around the house to school.I really liked this film because it was made by a passionate filmaker who wanted to explore the subject of gun safety using facts and stories that made me want to just cry at times because they where so horrible. In one scene he gather two surviving kids from Columbine highschool who where shot but survived. They travel to the local K-Mart who sold the bullets to the students who shot up the school that day.The two boy's talked to the people in charge and demanded answer's as to why ammunition it still available and after a few days K-Mart said it would no longer sell ammunition in it's stores. Then Moore went to the President of the NRA's house and talked to him about the gun control of this nation. The man was so upset with the question's Moore was presenting to him about the little girl that was shot and about our safety that he actually had to leave the room.
All an All definately pick this film up at your local video store if you havent seen it.It's very much worth a watch.

"SAW"
Director: James Wan
MPAA Rating: R
Studio: Lions Gate Films
Synopsis: Follows a serial killer the police have nicknamed 'Jigsaw' because of the madman's bloody calling card. Waking up in a mysterious room, two men (Elwes and Whannell) find themselves trapped in the serial killer's twisted game.
Review:Well the film opens up with a two average American guys chained to a pole in a run-downed bathroom.A tape that is left to them states that the doctor must kill the person in the room with him before a designated time or his wife and daughter will die."SAW" isnt one of the those movies that's just flat out scary but it does deserve credit for it's above average script.I liked how they could make a 100 minute movie without making it dull and boring.I liked how they kept receiving clues on why there there and all the secret's that they uncover about each other while there chained. Also all the great diolage and conversations where interesting to watch because these people where in these strange conditions and they each know a secret about the other person.I also liked seeing all the way's the Jigsaw Killer found out to kill his victim's.Really sickening but interesting and unique.
Now to the bad sides.I didnt like how the film annoyingly switching back in forth through time. It's one of the problems I had with "The Grudge" and it's one I had with this film. And then the ending wich I wont give away was just so cheesy and defied all laws that even horror movies set out.It is almost literally impossible to do what the jigsaw killer did pull it off. Also the whole thing with the cop was nuts.I think they should've not tried to make so many twist and just make it a little more simplier.
Anyways it's good for a rent but not really worth a purchase.Just take what ive said in the second paragraph and try watch it knowing these facts so you wont be dissapointed for any reason.
"Saw"-6/10

Interesting topic but I dont believe some internet and magazine editors more than Michael Moore.Maybe he is a liar but until actually proof of him editing video's and faking images come's out I wont believe some politicians who may call him a liar just to protect themselves.
I have looked at Michael Moor's films closely and cant seem to find alot of times when Michael Moore dubbed someone or took someone out of context.
My opinion stands.I think "Columbine" is a great film and not just because of the stuff on weapon's,I said before that the scenes of columbine and the interview on the people there alone where worth a rental.
I dont want to drift off-topic on politics so if you want to continue this discussion further I ask you to make another thread about it.

Not sure why people liked Spidey 2 so much... Not all that it's hyped up to be... Didn't like I, Robot much either. Too predictable. I basically agree with all your worst picks, except Napolean Dynamite. It wasn't all that bad except that it was slow.
Really liked Big Fish and Passion. Hero was certainly different and Kill Bill Vol 2. was alright.
Keep the reviews coming
:D

Sir, yes Sir! In the future I will refrain from commenting on your reviews if my feelings differ from yours! ;)

"Spider-Man 2" was one of those movies that I call excellent. It's the best superhero movie of all time in my opinion and it's CGI is awesome.
I like how the fact that they where making a superhero movie didnt refrain them from making a good story also.Peter Park is a college student struggling with managing his life as spider-man with his ordinary life.We see the points where he has to give up the people he loves because he doesnt want to put them in danger and when he decides being spider-man isnt for him anymore. Those where all great points of the story and helped make it a little more realistic and enjoyable.
"I,Robot" was just a personal favorite. It had awesome CGI and Alex Proyas portrayed the future world so vividly and colorfully that it's hard to say it was bad.I really didnt think the ending was that predictable I mean most action movies are but I didnt figure out till the end that the computer program controlling the building was the bad girl or that sonny was the man in the picture.
"Napolean Dynamite" is just one of the those movies that was slow and boring to the point where I wanted to die while I was watching.I felt like a drone watching this piece of cinema crap.People kept saying it was original and funny but about the only thing original and funny was the girl's hairstyle.
I basically agree with all your worst picks, except Napolean Dynamite. It wasn't all that bad except that it was slow.

"The Cooler"
William H. Macy plays a cooler in Lion Gates Films "The Cooler".Basically Macy is hired by the runner of the old school casino played wonderfully by Alec Baldwin.Macy's character is so unlucky that he can actually just walk by or sit down at a hot table and all the luck will leave and the players will start losing. He does this so the Casino wont lose alot of money and it works great until Macy falls in love with a waitress working at the casino played by Mario Bello.Lady luck soon becomes active and Macy starts becoming lucky again. This creates anger and confusion with Alec Baldwin because Macy is no longer causing winners to lose but instead causing them to win.
The thing I liked about this film is the idea of this cooler who is so unlucky that he is hired by the manager of the casino to make the other players unlucky. There's this really loosery guy who's job is just being himself for hours during the day.He a quiet loser who's likable though enough to win the audiences support. You feel sorry for him and as a viewer are so happy when he finds a girl that he's able to connect with and share his feelings with.I cant really tell you anything else without giving the film away although thats it's great and interesting and wont be a waste of your time.

Yeah I recall it having a quick release also.
"Edward Scissorhands"
Synopsis: When a mad scientist meets an early death his creation is left to fend with scissors for hands.
Review:I just finished watching this film and I realized that Tim Burton is a really great director. He has a colorful and sometimes dark imaginative style that he brings to his movie to make them feel unique and special just like his characters.I liked the idea of this guy with scissors for hands and how he try's to cope with living in an everyday society. At first the town doesnt know who he is and they are all very curious to meet him. They soon except him and they start letting him make beautiful arrangments with there bushes. They also let him cut their hair and their dogs hair and pretty soon he starts to gain a little bit of the feeling that he is normal.
Johny Depp is a great actor who can bring so much sense and style to any character that he is given. After I saw him in this role he became in my opinion one of the best actors around. He's so believable whether it be Captain Jack Sparrow or Edward Scissorhands he is truely gifted. He plays the character to where you can understand him and feel compassionate for him.
There is one minor thing that I just couldnt figure out about the movie. All throughout the film whenever you seen a new room it's always plain and dull.I dont know if that's part of Burton's plan to make the place special or if its just the result of a low-budget.It was kind of hard watching the film that had such a great look on the outside but inside the house and the castle where dull and empty. It created a sort of mis-matched feel to the film.
All an All if you havent seen this film yet than pick it up.With a director like Tim Burton and an actor like Johny Depp what can go wrong?

"Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind"
Synoposis-After Joel(Carry) realizes his girlfriend (Winslet) has had him erased from her memory he sets out to do the same but soon he realizes remembering someone and being broken hearted is better than not remembering them at all as the movie takes you through a wild-ride through the depths of his mind.
Review:This was one of the movies where I kicked myself after I watched it for not watching it sooner. In this film Joel(Jim Carrey) falls in love with a young and wild girl Clemetine(Hilary Swank). He it stunned to find out that she has got her memories of him erased and becomes angry and upset so he decides to do the same.Out of every movie i've ever seen this film is that best and representing dream states. It has some really nice visuals during the sequences that make you really get into Joel's to see what he's going through while he's unnconscious.Joel begans to discover that there relationship there relationship originated aftfer they both had their memories erased and it is clear that he cant get her out of his head. It's a really intelectual and someimtes confusing movie if you dont pay attention so make sure you do when you watch it.It's one of the those movies you have to watch twice just to get everything. The ending basically explains the movie and alot of the incomplete scenes which I also liked.
All an All with a fabulous script, great actors, and the most realistic dreams sequences ive ever seen in a film "Eternal Sunshine" is definately not one to pass up.

"The Ring Two"
Synopsis: The story picks up six months after the horrifying events that terrorized Rachel Keller and her son Aidan (David Dorfman) in Seattle. To escape her haunting memories, Rachel takes Aidan and moves to the small coastal community of Astoria, Oregon, to start fresh. However, Rachel’s resolve quickly turns to dread when evidence at a local crime scene—including an unmarked videotape—seems eerily familiar. Rachel realizes that the vengeful Samara is back and more determined than ever to continue her relentless cycle of terror and death.
Review:A killer video tape is back this weekend in DreamWorks sequel to the 2001 smash hit "The Ring".I think one of the things that makes part 2 enjoyable is that it's not your average monster movie. There not constantly throwing gore and cheap sound scares at you like you would see in "The Grudge" or "FvJ".The thing that I was attracted to the most is the film's quiet monotone and creepy and quiet atmosphere that alone can give you the creeps.Watts like in the original gives a compelling and believable performance and so does her little quiet and frightened son Aiden played by David Dorfman. All an All it can be quite silly at times "the ring two" can still entertain and creep me out.I've seen the reviews for this film and wont mind if anybody trashes me for liking it because I did.

"xXx:State of the Union"
Synopsis: Darius Stone, a new agent in the XXX program, is sent to Washington, DC to diffuse a power struggle amongst national leaders
Review:This is the reason going to the movies can be so bad these days. That bad actor Ice Cube plays this super agent who never gets hurt and always manages to get out of the toughest situations unharmed.Lets just talk about Ice Cubes performance for a minute. He has to be one of the worst actors in hollywood. His lame atempt to act tough and try to outdo what Vin Diesel brought to the screen fails every time he utters a line.Everything he says is almost laughable to the point where you want to scream "WHAT THE HELL'S THIS GUY DOING IN A MOVIE?!".
Now lets talk about the plot.It doesnt really have anything solid. Most of the movie we as a audience are left in confusion wondering what this guy who's trying to take over the presidencies agenda is really about.I mean we know he's the "super-evil" guy that's suppose to be in the movie but not much else.Theres talk about him wanting to start the next world war but no one ever seems to expland on this subject. Most of the movie we just have to sit back and except the fact that all the movie is going to offer about this guy is that he wants to become the next president and he wants to kill anybody that gets in his way.
The movie fails to stick to any sort of reality in its action sequences and just centers around the obvious fact that ice cube cant be killed.
All an All a really horrible and laughable film that doesnt deserve a watch or rental when it hits shelves

I dont knoq how he gets jobs. He's just flat out a horrible action movie star. He's ok at his comedic performances like that in "Barbershop" but thats about it.
"Alfie"
Synopsis- A remake of the 1966 film that starred Michael Caine as the ultimate Don Juan, roaming the English countryside in search of willing women; this updated version is set in New York with Jude Law in the role of the lothario and Marisa Tomei, Sienna Miller, Susan Sarandon, and Nia Long playing some of his victims
Review-Alfie is a brigh but yet deeply dramatic and dark.Jude Law plays Alfie a womanizing limo driver who likes nothing better than bedding a attractive younge lady. He's a seemingly selfish man who only thinks of himself and rarely about others. This causes him to lose good friends that he deep down really cares about but has to learn just how much he does the hard way.Jude Law was perfectly cast as Alfie and does a great Job at portraying him as a funny and charming guy on the outside but deep down really lonely and miserable.
The side performances are too say fairly decent we have Susan Surandon in the film portraying a rich woman who Alfie falls for after driving her around one day in his limo.Marisa Tomel plays a single mother who'm Alfie goes to whenever he needs someone to be with for the night. Her son adores him and so does she but that doesnt stop him from fooling around behind her back and walking in and out of her and her sons lives.Omar Epps is Alfie's best friend and co-worker at the limousine business he works at.But still Alfies selfishness gets the best of him and he end's up getting EPPS girlfriend pregnant.
All an All I dont really have alot of problems with the movie. The performances where great the script was fine and Jude Law was teriffic.
ALFIE-THUMBS UP!
Thanks for the review Punkeyboy :D

lol your welcome.
here's another
"Mr. and Mrs. Smith"
Synoposis-John (Pitt) and Jane (Jolie) Smith lead boring suburban lives, and their marriage has grown routine. But John has a secret, and so does Jane: They're two of the world's most sought-after assassins. The truth comes out only when they're hired to kill each other by competing organizations.
Review-I have to say that I really enjoyed this movie.I was anticipating it every since the first trailer was released and saw it the day it came out.I have to say it was a delightful suprise. It was funny,well-acted,and the actors,Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, have a great script to work with and there both perfectly cast.
We've all heard the rumours about Jolie and Pitt being a couple and if it was true I wouldnt be suprised because they just had great chemistry in the movie and thats usually caused by having a great off-screen relationship. They really connected on-screen and where very believable and funny as assassins which also suprised me.I was actually able to like these people even though I know they kill people for a living and I mean alot of people. But the writers where able to work it to where the comedy wasnt very awkward and hard to laugh at.
The action scenes where also fabulous, mixing jokes and romance with explosions and bullets.I though they where very entertaining and you can see why because the same man who directed the Bourne Identity directed this one and it show in the tense car chase scenes.
Vince Vaughn who is steadily rising in star power delivers a funny support role as Pitt's friend who in his 30's still lives with his mom claiming "its the only woman ive ever trusted".He was a real joy to watch also and can always make me laugh and deliver a clever kick to any scene he's in.
All an All a great fun movie that definetly worth your money. No real flaws except that Jolie didnt deliver that much nudity although she does have a sexy scene where she's dress as a maid playmate  .

Batman Begins
Synoposis:Christopher Nolan's film explores the origins of the Batman legend and the Dark Knight's emergence as a force for good in Gotham. In the wake of his parents' murder, disillusioned industrial heir Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) travels the world seeking the means to fight injustice and turn fear against those who prey on the fearful. He treturns to Gotham and unveils his alter-ego: Batman, a masked crusader who uses his strength, intellect and an array of high tech deceptions to fight the sinister forces that threaten the city.
Review:Without a doubt the best Batman movie ever made simply because it's dark,scary,intriging,well-acted,and has a great script and plot.Instead of making a laughable and cartoonish movie with an outrageouse amount of special effects like that of the previous two films they decided to go deeper and actually make a movie that describes batman and his inner demons.
Christian Bale portrays Bruce Wayne fabulously and with great charisma and intrigue. For the first time ever I actually felt like the actor portraying Batman truly understand him. Here's a person who saw his Mom and Dad murdered in front of him and in the past movies he's just been so watered down to the fact where he seems like a spoiled millionare wearing a cap.In this film he left his inherited empire he left everything that he knew to experience new things in foreign land.I just really like him as Batman and I liked what he brought to the movie and franchise.
The plot was seemingly decent I mean I think the one thing I didnt like about the movie is that the scarecrow wasnt given a greater role.I expected him to have a greater role in destroying gotham but he only had about 15 minutes of screen time throughout the entire film which really bothered me.Katie Holmes also kind of bothered me I mean for once can there be a super hero movie without a girl involved? She playes prosecuting attorney who's passion is to put the scum of Gotham behind bars. But her role didnt really have any significance but to create emotional scenes with her friend since childhood Bruce Wayne. It seems like she put in there just so Batman could save her and that got annoying.
Now lets talk about side roles.Liam Neeson,Morgan Freeman, and Michael Caine all give good performances in this movie.Morgan Freeman is enjoyable as the man behind Bruce Waynes great gadgets and awesome batmobile a.k.a "the tumbler".Michael Caine is probaly the best alfred yet I mean there isnt an actor who you can see portraying Alfred better than Caine. He's perfect. He's tall, gray haired, british, and is well spoken and likeable.Liam Neeson plays the villian who taught bruce how to fight and taught him alot of different techniques in the foreign land.Bruce leaves him after Neeson conveys a plan to him about destroying Gotham thinking it's behind being saved from it's corruptness.
All an All a great action/drama movie that really portrays Batman the way he should be and thats dark, scary, and mysterious.I'm just thankful that they finally got Batman right.

"War of the Worlds"
Synoposis-Set in present day times Tom Cruise plays a middle aged divorced father with two children.A teenage boy and a little girl (Dakota Fanning). He's assigned to watch them for the week while his ex and her new husband visit her parents. The problem is this is the day the aliens pick to wipe out the human race.
Review-Spielberg really knows how to make a movie.Taking awhile to explain the characters and slowly build up to the alien scenes. The movie is unlike anything i've seen the way the special effects tie so deeply into the storyline is captivating. It really makes you feel uneasy as you see human existince crumbling at the unmerciful hands of creatures from another planet.I remember sitting in the theater and watching in shock as alien robots tore apart new york and viciously terminated fleeing civilians.Like I said Spielberg knows how to make a movie and carefully moves into the scenes of the aliens using strange lighting attacks to signal something bad's gonna happen.
Tom Cruise gives a good performance and for once which i'm really thankful for doesnt save the world.I'm glad it didnt become like a typical blockbuster where one man saves the entire human race.He merely is one of the millions of people running from these creatures and trying to survive with his little girl and son.Dakota Fanning, wow, what a cinematic gem.I've liked here since I saw her in I am sam and the great thing about is despite what kind of script she's given she can always make it work and give a good performance. She can very well be the best childstar in the business because she has a cute and smart personality that stands out in anything she does.
Now lets talk about effects and storyline more.I dont think i've ever been so emotional involved in a film since TITANIC when I was on the edge of my seat wondering if Jack and Rose where gonna make it off alive. Its the same thing here. The effects are fantastic and like I said really make you get on the edge of your seat when Tom Cruise is trying to get his family to safety while being chased by cracking earth itself.Despite what most people have been saying I liked the ending, didnt really understand some of it but it worked and found a nice way to have a good ending.
All an All with great special effects, greating acting, good script, and a director like steven spielberg how could you go wrong?"War of the Worlds" is the movie event of the summer and should definetly be on your must watch list.
