Getting tough as GBG is starting to come back strong and when she's active, I normally interact with her more. TUS has been consistently great and you need to be too to beat him.

HK vs Swan

If HK were in his posting prime, his credentials would be impossible to ignore.

Remarkably close in tenure, total posts, current activity, and with what they do for the site. I have been closer with MV.

I put a premium on long term friendship, and it's almost unbelievable that I'd even think about voting for anyone who's been here a year and a half over JJ. Yet there I was struggling with my pick.

SC vs Spaulding

There's really only one way this match could go. There's something SC can learn from Captain though, and that's that you don't need to disappear from the site altogether. You can come in on your own terms when you feel like it, and still be one of the best.

I think the winner should be Captain Spaulding.

Honeykid would probably be my second pick, but Honeykid has already won stuff like this before, just as I have. We've had our day in the shade. Mark F won Battle of the MoFos Part II years ago and he always wins MoFo Master. Suspect wins all of the Survivor games. Raul and Cat wouldn't be bad winners. Joel could use a little more work, but he's getting there. Cricket has been #1 Top MoFo twice.

But I'll say Captain Spaulding because he's never won a BIG award like this, and it's a shame, because I think Captain Spaulding really changed the game of how Movie Forums could be. Captain gives me credit for unleashing his inner freak, but all the credit goes with him. I wish I was a poster like Captain Spaulding. Captain Spaulding isn't afraid to tell it like it is. He's not afraid to share intimate details of his real life. He expresses and explores himself, more than the rest of the people who remain in this competition. He is a model MoFo and all around human being. When I was going through a difficult time recently, it was Captain Spaulding that I first turned to. Sure, I figured Motormouth would probably eventually tell everyone else what I said, but I didn't care. I love getting an e-mail from Captain Spaulding because they're always quite lengthy and detailed and very informative. I don't let everyone into my own private world, but I let Captain Spaulding in. I encourage everyone to take a look at his posts and to vote for him to win this crazy competition!!!!!!

Two great friends and two of my favorite members. Spaulding is with Nostromo for the most fun per post, and with Holden Pike for most thorough and well thought out posts. He's been here 4 1/2 years which is three times as long as Cat's 1 1/2 years. But.... 2800 career posts. And how many were in the last year? Or even the last 2 years? Granted, I have plenty of days when I'm not doing well, and when I just see that him or someone like Jaydee have been on the forum, either through post or rep, it gives me happiness and makes my day better. But 2800 posts in almost 5 years does not sound final 4 worthy, much less final 2. On the other hand, 1 and a half years doesn't sound final 4 worthy to me either. However, those 18 months contain 3 times as many posts as a member who's been here 3 times as long. I believe Cat has made an enormous impact on the site at a time when it was sorely needed. At a time when important members have been disappearing, hardly appearing, or talking about leaving, she has brought new energy and life. She was also instrumental in helping me through my hardest time on this site.

I just saw this. This kind of thinking makes me squirm. Everyone has reasons to be voted for but this isn't one of them. I think it's insulting to the person you give a vote to for this reason and minimizes their accomplishments.I think it's fuc!ed that I can't cut loose and get into the spirit of things and have some fun like everyone else. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I even miss when honeykid would pop in threads and just post a ":nope:" in response to someone calling a certain film great. People used to mock him for seeing so few films nowadays, but I've learned over the years that he has a lot of knowledge and experience when it comes to 70's/80's horror and exploitation movies, so at least he's seen the good stuff. Sexy Celebrity used to write me long PMs just bitching about how people find Honeykid funnier than him and how dare they award HK the Funniest MoFo MoFie. Good times. It sucks that HK doesn't post anywhere near as much as he used to. He's always been a very supportive member, always quick to wish someone well. He has the second most replies in my old review thread behind myself, and I always appreciated the feedback, even when he was just telling me that my opinion is wrong.

Cricket has also been supportive throughout my time here, and he is also quick to reply to my posts or at least leave me a ton of +rep. He was the first MoFo with whom I felt a connection, and I'm sure that applies to many MoFos during their days as a newb. Cricket's one of the funniest people here. He watches a ton of movies. He prepares harder for the countdowns than anyone else. He tries to make an effort to reply to everyone's threads. As I've said before, he's the #1 MoFo in my eyes . . . but that doesn't mean I'll refrain from whupping his ass should I meet him in the championship. :flair::hogan:

There's been a lot of doom and gloom from certain members saying that the forum is dying, and at times I've worried that myself. Sometimes things can be a little boring around here. Not as many people posting. Nothing interesting happening. Too much arguing over politics and various social issues. Then someone like cat_sidhe comes along and immediately brightens the place up. She's made a huge impact in her short time here and has already become an essential MoFo. If every new member was even just a fraction as awesome as she is, then there would be no whispers about Movie Forums dying. She has a great personality. She spreads fun around the forum. (She may also spread herpes around the forum, but let's not judge her for that.) She has a great sense of humor. Her enthusiasm is infectious. I look forward to visiting the forum more nowadays just due to her presence. She's very much worthy of being our potential MoFo Champion.

If anyone's wondering wtf this gif's from, was looking for something from The Beyond (1981), one of Cat's favorite flicks, I think it may be from a different Lucio Fulci movie though. Anyways, it gives off a very "Cat_Sidhe" radiance emanation thing, I think.

Use my vote as a tiebreaker if necessary but it shouldn't come to that. Cat most definitely deserves to win. I said before that SC has been the most dominant member since I've been here, well Cat has been the most dominant member since she's been here. As I also said before, she has infused the site with a much needed energy at just the right time, and I feel there's a decent chance that she has prevented some important members from taking off. She also happens to be a great gal.

In the last round, I stated that Captain Spaulding's 2800 posts were not final 4 material. I meant that, but that's only when looking at statistics in order to decide which beloved member to vote for. Often times statistics don't tell the whole story and this is one of those cases. Captain Spaulding most certainly deserved to be here to the end, and part of that is also because he only has 2800 posts. It's the incredible impact he can make while hardly showing his face that makes him special, and we saw that with the votes he got. Besides that, you put those 2800 against anyone else's 2800 and they don't get a single vote. He is a member and friend incomparable to anyone else.

I think I forgot to vote in the last round since I was struggling to decide whether I should vote for HK or Cricket. I would've originally voted for Cricket, but his pleas to vote for HK instead were swaying my mind...but then his attempts to be mean and sabotage the vote made him more endearing, and had the opposite effect of what he intended. So then I was torn, and ended up missing the round haha.

He's made a solid argument, this time for Cat, which again proves how he himself deserves to be here in the finals. If this were a game of Survivor, I'd be voting for him. But Cat really does light this place up with her enthusiasm for everything she does, and we need more people like her to keep the forums lively. She's only been here a fraction of the time that some of the other members in this tournament have been, but during her stay she's managed to make quite the impact.
