I'll be having something a little darker.

So tell us a little more about your tutti feeling. We're already a little familiar with your fruity. Tutti is bit extra. What's extra in your life right now?

Eeeek!

So tell us a little more about your tutti feeling.

Well, I just went to the bathroom, so, ya know......

We're already a little familiar with your fruity.

A little too familiar.

Tutti is bit extra. What's extra in your life right now?

Um..... not the gum. Extra.

Um...… well, I gave you the idea for this thread and it looks great!

I am upset that your thread isn't being flooded with rep and replies already.

What's happened to Movie Forums?! I swear, it's quieter than it ever has been. That's why I worried that it was dying.

The only thing I can count on anymore, with this forum, is Cat_Sidhe and her rep that she gives me.

There's NOTHING else going on around here except her, as far as I'm concerned.

no that's not a reference to a fart.

But on a more serious note regarding extras, a few forum members get quite confused by your constant deleting of posts, making threads look unintelligible. In fact, Yoda just closed one a few minutes ago. What's your thought process when you delete?

The same thought process I'm actually having right now -- What the HELL am I doing?!

What am I doing talking about myself on the internet? I know everybody does it these days, but..... I dunno. I guess I just like having my privacy. I get nervous and feel like I'm revealing too much about myself. That's how I feel these days. Gone are the days where I just didn't give a sh*t. But then things happen -- like me giving you the idea for this thread here. And telling you to interview me!

I am telling you.... I have a split personality. There are now two sides to me. A very serious side, and a joking/crazy guy who just does whatever random thing he wants to do. It's like Jerry Lewis and Eddie Murphy in those Nutty Professor movies.

Sexy Celebrity is nothing but Buddy Love, the alter-ego. The id.

Sexy Celebrity is Tyler Durden. The real me is the Narrator, Edward Norton.

It wasn't my internet connection cat underscore sidhe, every other site was working fine it was this one specifically. Can't remember what Yoda said now but it's working again anyway.

Weird that i can get through so easily, thought the phoneline would be jammed by now.

I'm a little upset, but understanding, about Yoda closing that "Black MoFos" thread.

I think it was a good idea.... but..... it just didn't go anywhere, unfortunately. And then yes, I deleted a bunch of posts in it, like I always do. I was really hoping to hear from the black people who use Movie Forums. That's all I wanted to see -- their views about things.

But people take everything I do as a joke.

EXCEPT that "Are You Sorry You're White?" thread. I can't believe how that took off. But I did think it was an interesting, important subject for our time right now.

You've always struck us as the id. I hope I'm not speaking out of turn by speaking for the whole of MoFo, but sometimes, you do present as serious and at others, almost dadaist. Do you think it's a bad think to be split? Are they mutually exclusive, your two halves? Can you get them to work together?

But wouldn't you consider taking risks a good thing, even if they fail. This is just a thread. I mean both that and things in life. Nothing ventured noting gained, as you saw by the latter thread you mentioned. The former, well, some things don't take off. C'est la vie, no?

Do you think it's a bad thing to be split? Are they mutually exclusive, your two halves? Can you get them to work together?

I did say -- in a now DELETED post, of course -- that I am a Dadaist.

I think that is kind of true. Ever since high school, I've been interested in surrealism, Salvador Dali, and the Dada movement. I remember checking out books at the library all about Dada. It fascinated me. There was also a Dada art exhibit near me once, too, that I attended. I was very fortunate to see that. Dada stalks me through my life.

But at the same time, I'd say.... I'm not exactly a Dadaist, of course. I'm just doing my thing, and my thing just happens to be quite messy right now. It used to be more well put together and beautiful. I've had some issues come up in my life that seem to have affected that. Seem to have changed me.

Is it a bad thing to be split? Do they ever work together?

It really feels like I cannot control the crazy side of me. WHO CAN? If people could control the crazy sides of themselves.... we wouldn't have murderers and alcoholics and drug users and you name it. The world WORKS because people cannot control themselves. And that's how I fit in with this.

Deep down, something must be going on with me. Maybe I'm subconsciously trying to get myself banned? Trying to piss off Yoda enough to ban me. It would not surprise me.

I could probably use some counseling in that area. Trying to see things as good, even if I take risks.

I guess I'm not much of a risk taker. Never really have been.

Sometimes you might take a risk -- and lose everything. I can kinda see how my own life knows the truth about that. I have taken risks in life and lost a lot. So I guess I'm just still afraid that I'll lose a lot if I take risks here now. I guess.

Everything that happens to you shapes you. How are you processing it? You don't have to list your actual process, but whether it's going well or not so well.

Is it a bad thing to be split? Do they ever work together?

I suppose I'm comparing it to my taming of my inner beast.

It really feels like I cannot control the crazy side of me. WHO CAN? If people could control the crazy sides of themselves.... we wouldn't have murderers and alcoholics and drug users and you name it. The world WORKS because people cannot control themselves. And that's how I fit in with this.

Yes, history and art is full of those who couldn't control themselves.

Deep down, something must be going on with me. Maybe I'm subconsciously trying to get myself banned? Trying to piss off Yoda enough to ban me. It would not surprise me.

Why do you think you'd want to trigger that? Because you can't stay away yourself? Why not just accept you love this place and be here when you can, and absent when you can't? It would take you years of being logged on to delete yourself entirely, unless you developed code and hacked the site.

That would get you banned.

Really? That's awesome. Kudos.

Everything that happens to you shapes you. How are you processing it? You don't have to list your actual process, but whether it's going well or not so well.

First of all, I should mention that I'm eating a hamburger right now. Hopefully it doesn't make me more tutti.

How am I processing what's going on in my life? Great, actually. I've had a "blessing in disguise" as you talked about. But I do feel I've got a lot more work to do.

I suppose I'm comparing it to my taming of my inner beast.

Can I interview you a little bit? What's your inner beast like?

Yes, history and art is full of those who couldn't control themselves.

Absolutely. Maybe that's how the whole universe was created. Maybe God is absolutely crazy and he created us down here during one of his "spells."

Why do you think you'd want to trigger that? Because you can't stay away yourself? Why not just accept you love this place and be here when you can, and absent when you can't? It would take you years of being logged on to delete yourself entirely, unless you developed code and hacked the site.

That would get you banned.

Sometimes I fantasize about this place getting hit with hackers who destroy everything and cause all of my crap to disappear forever. I really do. It really is the only quick way to get rid of everything.

I find.... that I'm not quite proud of what I say years or so later after I've said it.

I'm not my own #1 fan. Not by far. I'M NOBODY IMPORTANT, anyway!

I don't think I truly love this place like I used to. I used to say I'd pay money to be a member here, if there was a subscription you'd have to pay. I wouldn't pay that money now.

I just think that..... internet forums are a dying breed. And this one is no different. People have moved on to things like Twitter and such. There are newer ways to communicate with people on the net. This is an old fashioned thing. There's nothing wrong with it.... but I don't know..... I think it's also a lot of effort to try and build a personality for yourself here. Not everyone can do it. But those that can are the ones who stick around.

I suspect American burgers and Swedish burgers are very different.

How am I processing what's going on in my life? Great, actually. I've had a "blessing in disguise" as you talked about. But I do feel I've got a lot more work to do.

Just keep at it. Even if you fall down every now and then, you will pick yourself up and carry on. Head high. QUEEN. *finger snap*

Can I interview you a little bit? What's your inner beast like?

Sure.

Well, apparently it actually is stronger than I am normally. Physically. I destroyed a door in a rage and don't remember it. By PULLING it, not slamming it. When I can control it, it's awesome. I get a lot done, and I don't need sleep or food, and my boyfriend describes me as the most resilient person he's ever met. I uh...have no opinion on that. I just carry on. But often everything's a race, even going to pee. My best friend's a guy and he curses every time we're in a pub and I go to pee. He says it's literally a moment.
And I've noticed races entice the beast.

When out of control, my beast can really destroy things. But I have a handle on it now, I think. I know I'll fall down every now and then in future, but I'm ok with that. In check, it's useful.

Absolutely. Maybe that's how the whole universe was created. Maybe God is absolutely crazy and he created us down here during one of his "spells."

Well, I think I must have a beast, too.

Goodness. You destroyed a door by pulling it? Are you Wolverine?

cat_sidhe
08-26-18, 04:39 PM
Not in a major way. I actually was a child crossdresser, to be totally honest. I would go through my older sister's things and put them on and my parents even took pictures. Hopefully that doesn't get them arrested. I enjoyed doing it. I have several pictures of myself as, like, a cheerleader, or just wearing my sister's terrible 1980's dresses. Hilariously bizarre stuff. I was looking on my computer to see if I had any to show you, 'cause I used to. I don't see them now.

I think it would absolutely be fun to be a drag queen. A drag queen's life is something I would enjoy. It would certainly be more eventful than this boring internet-based life I seem to have.

The thing I love about drag is how they use it like armour. They're all so sensitive yet HARD, and just very amazing. I'd love to see those pictures. :)

Well I am small. And ferocious. So yeah.

I WAS pushed to a complete black out rage, though. This, incidentally is the friend I just reconnected with. So I give BIG second chances. I suppose, so does he. He instigated, but that was one time I couldn't control myself. Now I know better than to let a drunk trigger me like that.

I've said I'd like to be a drag queen, but I have never had the balls to actually go out and do it. It's also, though, a type of thing where.... if you do it, you're sort of a drag queen forever. Which is kinda like being Sexy Celebrity. Sexy Celebrity is my drag persona.

Well, actually, no I don't. I actually just joined Twitter, as a matter of fact. Yes, I've seen the Movie Forums Twitter page. I've seen everybody on here who uses Twitter and follows the Movie Forums Twitter. I've even seen your Twitter, Cat.

At first, I followed everybody. Then.... I had second thoughts..... because this is Movie Forums.... and unfollowed you guys. Sorry. I may follow you all again soon. I really don't know if I'll keep Twitter. But I am liking it. I could tell you my Twitter handle, but I think I'll keep it private.

I wouldn't have noticed had you quickly followed an unfollowed. I've been ignoring Twitter recently as only like...3 or 4 of my favs were posting and it felt like an angry wasteland. And Facebook. I'm basically here. And email, whoever uses that.

You'd probably have to be tough to be a drag queen.

I've said I'd like to be a drag queen, but I have never had the balls to actually go out and do it. It's also, though, a type of thing where.... if you do it, you're sort of a drag queen forever. Which is kinda like being Sexy Celebrity. Sexy Celebrity is my drag persona.

Would you say you're an introverted extrovert, or an extroverted introvert?

An artist. That's something I remember thinking back then. I wanted to be an artist. I also wanted to be an actor. I remember I really wanted to replace Robert Englund as Freddy Krueger in the Nightmare on Elm Street films. I wanted to be a child Freddy Krueger!

I always wondered which one of the unholy trinity you'd gravitate towards. So it's Freddy. Something in common with Nostromo87 hope you don't mind my mentioning you. You may be tuning in on one of your late night shifts... ;)

This is an easy answer. Micky Dolenz from The Monkees.

*coughs* Won't mention mine...

Why is the interview making you nervous? It was your idea, do you like to scare yourself?
I'll throw in some fun questions so you don't feel tense:

Are you a night person or a day person?

Are you a savoury, sweet or sour kind of person when it comes to food?

Do you sing?

I used to be a night person, but now I am definitely a day person.

Are you a savoury, sweet or sour kind of person when it comes to food?

Hmmmm. I'm an ANYTHING GOES kind of person when it comes to food.

So you sing?

I sing terribly. Singer is something I've never aspired to be.

Fate is real. Stephen Hawking practically said so. Many scientists believe that everything is fated because there's no free will in nature, but they don't usually get all mystical about it.

I think there may be something to coincidences. I used to see them ALL THE DAMN TIME. And then I stopped really noticing them. To me, it used to be proof that God exists. But they may just be a fluke of the universe at large. Something built into "the system."

I don't know. I really need to go and watch The Matrix movies again. Matrix Reloaded used to be a very spiritual movie for me.

I notice coincidences and other things. Like. My black cat? I got her as a 3 year old froma place called "Katt Kommando" ( ) and someone just took a guerilla photo pf her with her paws held out...it was hilarious. I had to meet that cat.

Anyway. Skip forward a coupe of years. I go look to see an apartment, because we HAVE to move. Our contract was a tear-down contract so we had to find a place asap. (oh my god, ipod is playing Chaka Khan, Ain't Nobody). When I went to look at a place by myself (boyfriend couldn't join) I knew we'd get it. (In Stockholm you're on a waiting list for apartments. We were #9. then #3 on this apartment, so 3 people had to say no before us).. and I knew this apartment would be ours.

Why?

When you walk from the subway, there's a big student center called PRISMA, and it's lit up in neon. Prisma is my black can't "official" name.

**** yeah we got that apartment. See? Signs.

I saw Austruck (Yoda's mom) post somewhere the other day that she had a crush on Micky Dolenz, too.

I did! I always had crushes on the sidekicks, the underdogs, the ones slightly off-center. So, while others loved Shaun Cassidy or David Cassidy, I had a crush on Jack Wild. My celebrity crushes in my teens were Roddy McDowall, Jerry Lewis, and, of course, Gene Wilder.

But yeah, definitely Dolenz over Davy Jones any day!

California's famous for its earthquakes too. Have you experienced one of those?

Miss Vicky
08-28-18, 11:48 PM
Oh yeah, I've been in lots of earthquakes, but thankfully nothing severe enough to do any damage. It's a pretty freaky experience though to feel the ground suddenly shift beneath you. Almost feels like you're in a boat on choppy water.

Miss Vicky
08-28-18, 11:50 PM
But I'd rather deal with that than with some of the other natural disasters like tornadoes and hurricanes.

cat_sidhe

Do they teach you what to do in school already? Or maybe distribute pamphlets, like what to do in times of disaster. Those manuals tend to look like those safety guidelines on airplanes.

My mom didn't do much musical torture when I was a child. Actually she mostly had good taste - lots of Guns N Roses, Aerosmith, R.E.M., and then things like Pearl Jam and Soundgarden. These days she hardly listens to anything but Bruce Springsteen - now THAT'S TORTURE.

I never did get into that show. I'm not much of a TV person.

Damned if I know.

Every earthquake I've experienced lasted only a couple of seconds and gave no time to react. It's just like "oh, sh*t, was that an earthquake?." I've slept through quite a few of them too. I actually have a set of cheap windchimes in my bedroom so that if I'm suddenly jolted awake I know if the place really shook or if I'm just thrashing in my sleep.

Movies. I watch movies. Or play mindless games on Facebook. I also watch a lot of youtube videos.

But I'm actually more likely to be out and about in the winter than in the summer. California winters are fairly mild compared to other places and I hate the heat so I like to do a lot of walking when it's cold out.

What's your favourite element of being on movieforums? What's the hardest part of being President?

The people. Well some of the people. A few of the people. That's really my answer for both questions. I've never met a MoFo in person that I didn't know already outside of the forum, but I feel I've forged some good friendships here. On the other hand there are plenty of people who I'd love to be able to just slap across the face a few times. Oh god, the games make me unreasonably angry. I block any invites and notifications. What kind of youtube videos do you gravitate towards? Funny or serious?

I tend to gravitate towards a little of both. I absolutely adore Shane Dawson and his crew, especially his best friend Garrett Watts. They're hilarious and relatable. I also watch a lot of animal related videos. There's this channel called Vet Ranch which is all about taking in injured and sick animals and getting them healthy and finding them homes. Though I must admit that I watch that channel as much for the hot vet as for the cute pets.

Have you ever thought of moving to a colder climate? America seems like it has it all as far as that's concerned.

I have and my brother's been begging me to move up to Washington for years, but I'm really stubborn and am a creature of habit. Plus I don't think I could deal with the severity of their winters.

There's probably a few MoFos out there who have no idea you even like them.

Maybe the lack of talent in the male department, and all those fires is a sign you should move! Maybe not the severity of those winters but something inbetween?

I imagine your job has a heartbreaking side to it. When people have to bring their pets to be put down. You must see your fair share of broken hearts.

Yes, but euthanasia is relatively rare at the office where I work. The doctor is very strict about which patients he'll agree to do it for. They can't be first time patients and it has to be a truly valid medical reason. He takes euthanasias very hard.

Which is a huge difference from the clinic where I used to work. Their policy was that the staff were only allowed to ask if the owner wanted to be present and what they wanted done with the remains afterwards. We were not allowed to ask why and if the pet owner told us why we were not allowed to say no, regardless of the reason. That broke my heart worse than anything.

Maybe the lack of talent in the male department, and all those fires is a sign you should move! Maybe not the severity of those winters but something inbetween?

The trouble with that though is I'm actually rather anti-social IRL and struggle to make friends. The few I do have are former coworkers plus one holdover from high school.

He may be waiting for you to admit that you suck. I'm not sure, just my guess as a celt whisperer. When two stubborns collide.

I have admitted that I suck, just not in the way he means. I mean how more obvious could "is that a request?' be?

When did you become an atheist, Miss Vicky? Why atheism?

My faith was never strong so it wasn't hard to lose. I believed in God because people told me there was a God. My faith in God was never any stronger than my faith in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy. It started with just doubting any 'proof' of his existence when I was about 13 or so. These days what it comes down to is that I see three possibilities in terms of the existence of God:

What the worst call you ever got? WORST CLIENT?

I can't go into too many specifics as the HIPPA act actually applies to the veterinary field as well.

But I've gotten some crazy phone calls. I've gotten cussed out a time or two. I had one lady told me that she wanted to dig up her dead cat that she buried just so she could hold him again and wanted to know if that was weird. I had some guy ask if it would be okay to eat his dog. He said she wasn't dead yet and he wasn't going to kill her, but just thought it would be a waste of meat to bury her or have her cremated. When I told him that I couldn't advise it, he got angry and said "well they eat dogs in China."

Ok now I know why those Southern ladies keep fanning themselves.

Wow. I guess you suspected a lot of healthy animals being put down due to inconvenience.

The trouble with that though is I'm actually rather anti-social IRL and struggle to make friends. The few I do have are former coworkers plus one holdover from high school.

Do you find it easier on the internet? The distance, yet being able to be close if you want to.

I have admitted that I suck, just not in the way he means. I mean how more obvious could "is that a request?' be?

My faith was never strong so it wasn't hard to lose. I believed in God because people told me there was a God. My faith in God was never any stronger than my faith in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy. It started with just doubting any 'proof' of his existence when I was about 13 or so. These days what it comes down to is that I see three possibilities in terms of the existence of God:

1) He is all knowing and all powerful and stands idly by while horrible, horrible things happen in the world and therefore is not worthy of worship.

2) He is not all knowing and all powerful and stands helplessly by while horrible, horrible things happen i nthe world and therefore is not worthy of worship.

3) He does not exist.

Wow. I guess you suspected a lot of healthy animals being put down due to inconvenience.

Oh I know it to be a fact. People are moving and can't be bothered to take the pet with them. The pet is older and not as cute. The owner didn't do the research and bought a breed that doesn't suit them and they can't be bothered to find a rescue or another home or work with a behaviorist/trainer. Or in one case, the man's wife was pregnant and he didn't think he could handle a baby and a dog so the dog had to go.

Do you find it easier on the internet? The distance, yet being able to be close if you want to.

I do find it a lot easier on the internet. I think a lot of it is just an issue of self confidence and also being heard. I'm rather soft spoken so getting a word in can be an issue. Plus I'm not as worried about how I look and what the other person is thinking of me on a superficial level.

But a big thing too is the ability to edit myself. So often I type up something and then don't post it because it's too harsh and I have second thoughts. So often I yell expletives while I actually type something much more tactful.

Is your family Christian or atheist like yourself?

Neither, really. I don't know if my dad has any faith or not. My mom was raised in a Christian household and was forced to attend church, Sunday school, bible study, etc and she resolved not to force that on her own children so she raised my brother and I as "heathens" as she put it. She has talked recently about simply not knowing what the truth is so I guess she qualifies as agnostic.

I scanned over the questions so if I ask something already asked just let me know.

I lived in Anaheim and Garden Grove and L.A. for a bit back in the mid 80s. Was in Palm Springs in the early 70s as a wee kid. You ever visit any of those areas?

Has Miss Vicky ever bought lingerie for her rats?

Contrary to what you might think, I've never dressed up any of my rats. Also I typically get males so lingerie would just be kind of weird. I only have one rat at the moment though and if I tried to put anything on him I think I'd end up bloody.

And I'm guessing Miss Vicky ditched her bra the second the second she walked in so she's FREE and LOOSE!!!

I did indeed. I'm in a light blue tank top and some dark blue shorts. I was wearing scrubs earlier. I run really hot so I don't like to wear long sleeved or heavy clothing. I also usually wear nothing at all to bed.

Miss Vicky, what was probably the worst moment of your life so far?

I've been really fortunate to not have any terrible injuries or have any close friends or family members pass away. Probably the worst moment was when I was in the hospital after my gall bladder removal surgery in absolutely excrutiating pain begging the nurses to give me some dilaudid or morphine IV and all they would offer was some Vicodin tablets because they said it was too soon for another injection. They also got angry at me for screaming from the pain.

That's interesting that you haven't had family members pass away yet. My whole family's practically dead. Even my father is on his way out now, it seems.

My grandmother passed away while I was holding her hand, but she was almost 92 and had been in hospice care for awhile so I had time to process and accept it.

My dad's had a heart attack and a stroke but keeps on going.

I think it helps that my dad's side of the family is relatively small and there was no mom's side of the family until a little over a year ago. Both of her adoptive parents died before I was born and she didn't have any siblings with them.

Miss Vicky
08-29-18, 01:16 AM
Why gay? What attracts you to the gay lifestyle?

I never wrote it with the intention of having anybody read it. I write for myself, or wrote rather. I haven't written anything in awhile but I did it mostly to entertain myself.

Everything else I've ever written revolved around heterosexual relationships, but those stories were also horribly depressing. So I challenged myself to write a simple boy-meets-girl love story with a happy ending. I got absolutely nowhere with that and somehow it morphed into a love pentagon? between a man, two other men, and two women.

As for my interest in gay culture, I'd say that simply stems from being a social reject in school so I made friends with the other social rejects and as it turned out many of them were gay.

I think guys like that are scared of being perceived as gay by anyone, especially if a gay guy is hitting on them openly.

I've always countered that with my experience of being hit on by gay women. I know how hard women can be on each other, like, always sizing each other up quietly, somehow comparing themselves. Women often don't dress up to impress men, they dress up to impress other women. So when a woman hits on me, I ****ING MADE IT. And there's no harm in a bit of banter, even if you're not interested in anything further happening. It's no biggie if someone tries... the rules are the same. Interest is either accepted or declined.

Miss Vicky
08-29-18, 01:30 AM
Do you find purely emotional connections as important as actual physical ones?

Absolutely, yeah. One of the men that I was very much obsessively attracted to IRL really isn't a good looking guy at all. There's nothing sexy about his body, but he's highly intelligent, highly educated, funny, very kind, open minded, and loves cats and rats.

Unfortunately he's also a married father of two.

No. I'd say physical distance affects it more than anything else. He's a veterinarian that I used to work with when I first got into the field, but he's retired now and lives in another town. It's been a few years since I last saw him in person.

Women don't have to worry about being perceived as a lesbian because most guys are attracted to lesbianism, it seems.

I think it was Marilyn Manson, in his book, who said that all women are lesbians.

Eh, I'd say there's certainly a degree of bisexuality to most women that I've known who identify as hetero. As for myself, I find that the older I become the less interested I am in other women.

Hahhaah! Well, I'm not lesbian although I did let a really hot Swedish woman make out with me. She was a good kisser but I just didn't feel anything.

But I must say, it might be a little different from continent to continent because here it's not so tense. Like, straight men sometimes joke with gay men, tease a bit. I've seen that in pubs sometimes. But not with an older crowd, so here, Sweden's progressive attitude has had some effect. Gay isn't seen as something strange or something to be afraid of or reject. Of course you do have your troglodytes every now and then, no country's free of that.

Miss Vicky
08-29-18, 01:41 AM

I do, yeah. Although the older I get the smaller the age difference I'm willing to accept is, otherwise we're getting into geriatric territory.

Weirdly though I seem to mostly attract younger guys. It's a problem.

I should clarify though that the guy I was talking about is 13 years my senior and he came into some money (an inheritance I think?) and was able to retire in his 40s.

Njjäääaaahhh, mayyybe? I'd say the first part of this is correct, but not so much the second. SOMETIMES, yes. I'd say you need a mix of both to work. Too much of a persona who's just like you and it's a bit crazy. Similar likes, yes, as think about what you'd be doing on your downtime. Watching movies, listening to music while you're doing stuff. You'd want someone with at least 30% difference in taste so you can get inspired every now and then, and they by your ****, and it feels like a cultural, almost soul exchange.

The technical term for it is "Alcohol Flush Reaction" but it's exceptionally common in Asian people. If I recall correctly, we lack a certain enzyme needed to properly break down alcohol and we end up overheating and "glowing" red.

Probably the one that happened years ago in the shoutbox where it ended up with me exposing the other person as a pedophile.

Can you hear me? *can you hear me* I'm not sure *sure* if I'm on hold or if I'm actually on air *actually on air* Is this CatChat? *is this CatChat* Hello? *hello* I'd like to ask Miss Vicky a question. *miss Vicky a question*

Bit of a softball question i suppose but I totally forgot you had pet rats. Love the idea of rats in lingerie. Especially male rats given the gay porn nod earlier in the show.

Anyway. Seriously though, what got you into rats as pets? Any other pets?

It's a combination of things, really. I knew a few people who had them when I was a kid and I always thought they were really cute. Also one of my favorite movies - as a child and now - is Charlotte's Web. Templeton is the best. My first rat was named Templeton, actually.

I've had lots of other pets. I've always had cats. I have two of them currently. I also have three freshwater planted aquariums with fish, shrimp and snails. In the past I've also had a dog, birds, a tortoise, hermit crabs, mice, and toads.

Oh I've made tons of mistakes. Not learning about the nitrogen cycle early on. Doing 100% water changes and scrubbing everything spotless all the time. Not quarantining new fish. Mixing goldfish and small tropical fish (the goldfish murdered the tropicals). Purchasing plants that aren't truly aquatic but are sold as aquatic to naive, unsuspecting novices.

Miss Vicky

Miss Vicky how do you handle embarrassment?

Not well. When I'm embarrassed I kind of try to hide. I avoid anybody who might've seen what I did. If it's on the forum I'll avoid whatever thread it was in or avoid the people I was interacting with for awhile.

I don't do a whole lot of embarrassing things IRL though as that would require social interaction. I did drop the ball twice when I was bowling this past Sunday though. Quite a loud thud and lots of heads turned my direction.

Miss Vicky

Does your voice modulate when you're on the phone? :D

I definitely have a "phone" voice. My normal speaking voice is kind of gruff so when I'm on the phone at work I try to smile and make it more pleasant. Unfortunately (or fortunately) the actual result is that I sound like a phone sex operator. Like I've seriously been told that I should do that for a living or be a late night radio DJ.

It's actually where my username comes from. At the first clinic I worked at, the manager told me that I should start a 900 number and call myself Miss Vicky. She used to always ask how much it was per minute when she'd call the office on her days off.

I actually did a mock phone sex ad and posted it in the MoFo voice thread just for laughs.
I still have it uploaded online. (http://www.angelfire.com/music6/walteregan/MoFoVoices/MissVicky900.mp3)

Actually I'm not too keen on the sound of women's voices in general. It's why I don't listen to a lot of female music artists.

I always had that impresson, that people prefer the vocal timbre of that which they're more sexually attracted to.

08-29-18, 03:15 AM
What do you fear?

Miss Vicky
08-29-18, 03:15 AM
Do you wish you had a man's voice?

I've never given it any thought. I'd probably hate the sound of my own voice still.

And tell me honestly -- do you think it would be easier if you were a gay man?

In some ways, yeah. I get the impression that men in general have things a bit easier, but I think that's less so for a lot of gay men. I think that's especially true when it comes to fashion and personal style. I feel like there's a lot of pressure there for them, possibly even more so than for hetero women.

Miss Vicky
08-29-18, 03:16 AM
What do you fear?

I'm afraid of never finding that one person that I want to spend my life with. I'm afraid of dying alone. But I'm also afraid of taking the steps to keep that from happening.

cat_sidhe
08-29-18, 03:18 AM

Maybe it would help if you saw a doctor about getting some psychiatric medicine. You know, for depression and such. You sound depressed.

That's probably true, but I struggle to even get myself to address the issues with my physical health.

Miss Vicky
08-29-18, 03:30 AM
Why do you think you struggle?

Fear. Laziness. Denial. Sometimes I just don't want to know what's wrong.

You have plenty of time before any of you have to worry about dying alone, but time does fly.

Miss Vicky
08-29-18, 03:35 AM
Why not? Wouldn't it only be beneficial to you if you did?

Yeah but then I'd be forced to confront the problem. It feels easier to just stay in willful ignorance. I know that's a completely wrong way of thinking, but that's just how my mind works.

Miss Vicky
08-29-18, 03:36 AM
