Ive just discovered this awesome show! I started watching it up my mates house about 2 months ago and started watching the episodes on tv. Then I was just in time to start watching the 2nd series which started afew weeks ago.
Im loving the humour, charectors and even tho half the time the things the guys come out with are completly out of my brain capasity it is still very funny.
I would suggest this show to everyone as it is amazing!

I've been watching this show since the first episode and I love it, I've missed a few episodes of it though, it's still probably my favorite sitcom that's out right now.

I like this show, too. It makes me laugh at how awkward they are. The guys that play Sheldon and Raj came to our school to be guest readers and I was the only person that knew who they were! I shook their hands and let them know I liked their show. They were very sweet.
Sheldon is my fav charector to, he cracks me up lol

I liked the show, though don't like the main geek, how he always looks up when he speaks. Rest is all good though. Except that god awful theme song.
Season two has just started recently in UK

I thought the Christmas episode this past season was hysterical, and I'm not that crazy about the show.

I really like this show but im worried about a limited shelf life.
Im marathoning (Hm. Firefox doesnt think thats a word) The Big Bang Theory this week. watched all episodes from the pilot and now midway in season 5. This shows awesome on so many levels for me. Johnny Galeckis one of those actors you just like, Jim Parsons is absolutely killing it with his portrayal of Sheldon, Kaley Cuoco is adorable and has good comedic timing, and I love Mayim Bialik & Melissa Rauch who have added to the show in a great way.
The geekiness definitely brings me back to happier times. Yeah I played D&D and aint ashamed to say it  (It was actually AD&D but no matter) Sheldons feud with Will Wheaton was hysterical, and I think the union of Leonard & Penny is the most intriguing since David & Addie from Moonlighting. You just want them to be together! Great show :)

This is one show I absolutely detest. Hate it.

I did at first, but it grew on me. Now it's one of my comfort shows. I don't get excited about it, but it's nice to catch an episode now and then on a lazy day.

I think the show can be incredibly funny and I still watch it regularly, however I feel like it has gone downhill a bit ever since the addition of Amy. She's grown on a me a little over the last few seasons, but I'm still not a fan of the character.

this show is really not very good. i don't really have strong feelings towards it either way, but sheldon has got to be one of the most annoying television characters ever.
That's why he's so funny.

Pretty good comedy, I love it's depiction of nerdy culture.

This is how I think about it. I didn't use to like it at all and, while I still don't think it's particularly funny, I like it now.
Love me some Big Bang Theory. :yup: Especially Sheldon. I even have a Sheldon T-shirt. :D

See I actually think the show got better with the additions of Amy and Bernadette, it's helped to flesh it out a bit and give it a little more heart. And personally I think that Mayim Bialik is terrific as Amy, love her performance so much.

I like Amy too. (Mayim Bailik reminds me so much of a friend of mine it's uncanny) I hated Bernadette at first, but she grew on me and now I'm glad she is part of the cast. I think she helped Howard's character not to be so obnoxious, so now I actually like him better.

From what I've seen, I like it more with Amy and Bernadette in it.

I've never had an issue with Bernadette. I think she's quite funny. But Amy just irritated me from day one. Like I said, she's gotten better over the last few seasons but she's still my least favorite.
oh. I thought this was a science thread.

I absolutely LOVE "The Big Bang Theory". It's one of my favorite current shows, (along with "Castle" and "Once Upon A Time").
I think Sheldon is the best character on TV since Adrian Monk. I love the scenes with Sheldon and Penny because they play off each other so well.
I think the guest stars that they've been getting are some of the best in the business. They fit in so well with the show. Not just Wil Wheaton, but also people like Stan Lee, Leonard Nimoy, James Earl Jones, Steven Hawking, Bob Newhart. etc. I can't wait to see William Shatner on the show, and hopefully Hugh Jackman as Wolverine could make an appearance.
Oh, and I also love Kripke and Stuart. They're both so funny.

Is anyone else watching "The Big Bang Theory" this year?
What do you think of Penny's new haircut?

I think I may have watched three episodes in their entirety, but I just don't think this show is funny. I really wish it was because I loved Johnny Galecki on Roseanne and he was the reason I gave the show a look, but I just don't get it...maybe the humor in what these guys discuss is in their personal genius geekdom, like a private club that we're not a part of. I think Jim Parsons is severely overrated and the rest of the cast (yes, that includes Kelly Cuoco) is forgettable.

A friend of mine refuses to watch "The Big Bang Theory" because he says that it "hits too close to home" for him. He's just like the characters on the show, and he feels like they are making fun of him.
I think he's too sensitive, and he's missing a show that he would love. You have to be able to laugh at yourself sometimes.

It's very high on my TV list. :D

I was of the same opinion, but then I started to watch some of the later episodes, once Amy and Bernadette joined and thought it was much, much better. If you've not seen any of the later episodes, I'd suggest giving it another go.

I agree. I started watching the show from the first episode, and I haven't missed an episode. I even watch the repeats in syndication all the time.
This show just seems to get better and better as it goes on.

I like those earlier episodes now I've gotten into the programme, but I much prefer the later ones. Well, a couple of seasons in, anyway.
