I'm not into his music, but Elvis is such an iconic character that he has his own sort of movie afterlife, and makes for an instantly recognizable & likeable movie character.

Oh, and when on the topic of stretching and length, I was thinking the whole time how this movie would probably have worked much better as a short film, only to find out in the end that it is indeed based on a short story.

Its best joke is the concept (Elvis and black JFK in a retirement home) but it's not enough to carry a whole feature film.

I watch this movie about once every two years and I appreciate it more every time, though, my initial reservations about it remain the same.

Check this movie out, if not for the acting, or directing, or the music, which is all top notch, check it out because it's so bizarre and original.

I know it doesn't sound like it, but this is a great, great movie. If you're looking for horror, though, look elsewhere.
