Need help with a name of a TV show or movie

I don't know if this was a show I really watched or something I saw in my dreams. Well another thing you don't know is that I LOVE DINOSAURS! I REALLY LOVE THE CREATURES BEFORE THE DINOSAURS!! Well anyway more about the show or what ever it was. I'm going to try my best. Well I remember seeing this gold colored giant clock all computer generated. It would turn and you would go back to that time period. Also remember seeing early types of sharks. They had anval shaped top fins. Sorry I can't explain more. Thats all I can think of. If anyone has an idea of what this is it would be great.
