Not Married

Old B&W comedy. Around 1950. American. A JP finds his marriage licence has expired and that a number of people he married recently are not really married. This leads to a number of comical situations like a gold digger ready to take her new husband for all he has, losing out. A man who is constantly reminded by his single friend that he wishes he had married his wife instead, and now gets a chance to prove it. And so on.
