Let Me In

I could go either way on this one. I actually haven't seen the original title and the trailer for the update has me half-interested. We'll have to wait and see how the girlfriend feels but signs are pointing towards The Social Network this weekend.

I read somewhere and I haven't read much since, that this was a shot for shot remake, is that true?

Nope. But the reviews so far suggest that it's quite similar.

I will definitely rent it (New Father, don't get out much these days lol) as I loved the book (and the original movie).

I merely quoted the stereotype as that is how it is seen by a lot of people and you're right in saying that it is offensive - like most stereotypes

I'd rather that instead of doing a film adaptation of a book whose first adaptation was already praised, they just made an original film.
