Okay, I'm just going to say it, sitting through a horror movie today is real torture.
Recent movies, like; SAW I-IV, Hostel I&II, and Turistas are all Hollywood grade snuf films. They have no suspense or context, just a group of interchangeable jackasses placed in dangerous situations, all the while just wanting them to shut the hell up and just try to escape the situation, but no, instead like in Turistas after having been robbed and stranded in Brazil, they decide to blindly follow someone they don't even know and even go swimming.
The current belief is, the more gore and gut wrenching torture placed on screen adds up to more terror, not true, it just creates disgust and then boredom.
