Hey,You forgot Festivus

Many Christmas's ago, Frank Costanza went to buy a doll for George.
There was only one doll left and as he reached for it, so did another man.
After struggling for the doll, he thought there could be another way.
The doll was destroyed, but out of that, a new holiday was born.
It was called Festivus. A Festivus for the Rest of Us.

Requires no decoration. Frank finds tinsel distracting. The pole is aluminum tall, silver, hollow, long and skinny.

At the Festivus dinner, you gather your family around and tell them all the ways they have disappointed you over the last year.

The head of the family tests his strength against another friend or family member. The great honor is given out to a different person each year. In Seinfeld, Cosmo Kramer was given the honor but turned it down to George Costanza as he had an appointment. Festivus is not over until the head of the family is pinned.

* What are your top 10 favorite Christmas movies?
Can’t think of 10.
Bad Santa

* What has always been one of your favorite Christmas traditions?
Having a holiday.

* Do you believe in Santa Claus?
Never believed in him.

* What's the best/favorite present you have received?
A holiday.

* Do you remember your first Christmas?
No I was too young.

* What do you plan to do on Christmas Day?
Have a holiday on the beach.

* Do you like snow?
Hate it.

* Does it snow/get cold where you live?
No, thankfully.

* Is Christmas your favorite holiday? If not, then what is?
No. Easter. It gives the Easter Bunny time in the limelight.

* What are your top 10 favorite Christmas movies?

10. Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer - As a kid who grew up incredibly poor, there was more than one year whereupon Santa didn't leave me or my siblings any presents.
That fact combined with Santa's bad attitude towards Rudolph in the first half of this special is reminder to me what an @$$hole Santa really is.
This movie helps to remind me to keep the holidays real.

9. Star Wars Holiday Special - What does a Christmas train wreck look like? This special answers that question.
And as horrible as it is, morbid curiosity prevents me from looking away.

8. How The Grinch Stole Christmas - For a long time, I used to think that I was the King of Sinful Sots.
Then I saw this.
And I realized that compared to this guy, I'm just a moldy purple spot
on the dead tomato splot that is his heart.
You're the true rotter,
Mr. Grinch.

7. PeeWee's Playhouse Christmas Special/other - What does a Christmas train wreck look like if the train could talk, was gay and knew exactly how to walk a slightly twisted tightrope of childhood innocence & just good ol' fashioned grown-up holiday cheer?
F#ck Santa.
I prefer Pee Wee.

6. A Christmas Story - Lemme tell you guys something, if Santa were to leave an official Red Ryder carbine-action 200-shot range model air rifle/BB gun under my tree this year, even at my current age, I'd still end up beating my chest & proclaiming to the whole world that it's a wonderful life.
And before anyone says anything,
lemme just say
"F#ck my eye. I don't care."

5. Die-Hard 2 - Actually, I guess we should include the 1st Die-Hard tied with this one, though I definitely feel that this 2nd one is better.
Now the test of any holiday film is if answers this question: Does it inspire the holiday spirit within me?
Yippy-kay-yay, mother-f#cker.
This is how great Christmas-themed action movies are supposed to be made.

4. Nightmare Before Christmas - Is it a Halloween movie with a Christmas twist, or a Christmas movie with a Halloweenic slant? Or is it both?
For me, I look at it like discovering that your trick-or-treat bag has been filled with presents instead of candy.
And no rocks.
Or coal.
IMO, Tim Burton's best film, by far. Such a great cast of characters. Innocent enough for kids who can still see the world thru bushy-tailed bright-eyed glasses, yet twistedly dark enough to keep the interests of those of us adults who've had that part of our spirits crushed a long time ago.
A holiday movie for all ages on either side of the perspective spectrum.

3. Nobody's Fool - This is simply one of those movies that I really enjoy that never really gets any mention anywhere. Paul Newman, Jessica Tandy, Bruce Willis, Melanie Griffin & Phillip Seymour Hoffman are a great cast of actors playing a great cast of characters. And each one a piece of the the puzzle that, despite their sharp edges, all still fit in perfectly.

2. Bad Santa - Best. Santa. Movie. Ever.

1. Charlie Brown Christmas - Oh, just in case I forget to wish any of you MoFo's a happy holidays,
"Merry Christmas, you blockheads".
