2022 Mofo Fantasy Football Champ
Not that we need it, but does anybody know if there is a check off list of IMDB's top 250? I was just trying to continue to keep track on my progress of that

Don't think one of those is on the cards where it's continually changing and there wouldn't be a concrete list

Quick update: so far, the Movie Forums Top Horror Films list has the highest average completion percentage -- 60%.
It was 59% when I checked just now... I think I brought the average down, sorry

I was just wondering if there was one anywhere on the internet, I know we don't need it/can't have it. Kind of surprising that IMDB wouldn't have a check off list themselves.

I dunno, how could they? You'd have to update it constantly, every time it changed. The reasons we don't have one are the reasons nobody else would/could.

Problem solved.

Not sure if this has been suggested/considered before, but what about:

http://www.foreignfilms.com/top100.php

I'm not sure how reliable the site is, or how it was compiled but it seems from a glance to be a fairly solid list, incorporating classics and popular films.

I know http://www.filmsite.org/foreign100.html has been mentioned before but it only goes up to 1996 and has some notable omissions according to the site.

Looks okay, although I've seen almost every film listed and as you mention, just how (un)reliable the source is.

Figure I'd post a couple of links. I'm sure they won't be added to our lists here but they are still pretty solid, especially when you consider the sources of these lists:

6. Rashomon (1950, Akira Kurosawa)
I think in Japan they considered this film very western and UN-Japanese. Only over here in the west do we consider it ULTRA-Japanese. Nevertheless, fine film and a finer list!

Thanks a bunch, friend.

That list was made by Kinema Junpo, a Japanese film magazine.
Nevertheless, I believe the original reaction was how I described it.

Movie Forums: Top 100 Horror Films

If I counted these accurately, I own 61 of these titles. I am going to use one semi easy still from about 30 to 40 of these films, and place them here by Halloween. It will test your horror movie knowledge. Well, I guess a little sci-fi and thriller knowledge too, but you get what I mean. We have quite a few more member since this last time I made this game. It's not something I plan on getting into again, but I figured for the holidays I'd give it a go.

Looks a lot like what the Sight & Sound Directors Poll would look like if it was 100 instead of 50 films...

I doubt a group of directors would have Slumdog Millionaire at #42. Geez, how's that for ruining a list.
