Female Beauty We Appreciate

Stanwyck was sexy and awesome in Ball of Fire also, co-starring with Gary Cooper. She was so fine in that one, too!

Sara Lindsey:

Since there have been lovely ladies from the past posted lately, here's a few I like, starting with Louise Brooks, who was probably most associated with her silent film, Pandora's Box (1929):

Someone who has already been mentioned on this board, one that I totally agree with being a beauty, Paulette Goddard:

And this lady, Elsa Martinelli, co-starred with John Wayne in Hatari! (1962):

I just seen Paulette Goddard last night (in a movie)
Which one? I loved her in The Great Dictator.

This might just do nobody any good.
I second the Louise Brooks mention. Big crush on her quite recently actually (I've been making my way through some movies from the 20s).

Sarah Lindsey is very pretty. Reminds me of Yvonne Strahovski, whom I hadn't really paid attention to until recently as well. She showed up in Hulu's The Handmaiden's Tale which is setting her up for difficult role. Looking forward to see how she does.

The most loathsome of all goblins
Here is someone I'm very fond of, Claudia Jennings. Playboy model turned B-movie actress, anyone who enjoys drive-in cinema should check out her filmography:

Holy crap! I saw her in Gator Bait!

OK, since I already mentioned her and linked to her singing, I'll follow through.

Julie London:

Besides having an ear-curlingly sexy voice, she played one of the very few smart, competent -- and yet non-bitchy -- women professionals to be found on TV in the early '70s. Plus I think she actually looked better the older she got.

Miaow.
I think she got better with age as well.

I love movies about hicks, and Gator Bait is a hoot.
Besides having an ear-curlingly sexy voice
She does have an amazing voice, I love her rendition of "Why Don't You Do Right?"

Does look a bit yawny but definitely screamy.

You can't win an argument just by being right!
Hey, screaming is tiring work.
I know, BOP. Faux offence exhausts me. All calm now, my friend. )lil secret - I actually thought you two were bloody funny).

Come hither and I'll help you slip into something more comfortable. What a gorgeous strumpet.

Only a ginger can call another ginger ginger.

So who is this you're strumping so gorgeously?
I know

That's the delicious Maureen O'Hara.

You can't win an argument just by being right!
I love her.
