R.I.P. Richard Griffiths

Great British character actor Richard Griffiths, star of such films as Harry Potter and Withnail & I died today after complications from heart surgery. He was 65.

Gasp!

First thing I ever saw him in was Superman 2 when I was about 3 years old.

Seen him in a few things since but can't say as I really knew his work.

Not a good way to go though. RIP.

I know him strongest from a movie I love called The History Boys where he plays a testicle grabbing school teacher, and of course from the Harry Potter movies, and I also know him from Guarding Tess and I feel like there's something else I'm forgetting....

65 is old, but still too young to die. It must be the obesity.

It's odd most of the films and shows he's been in are things I don't like.

He was brilliant in Withnail And I and he was good in Sleepy Hollow too. Probably the only two films apart from Superman 2 he's been in, that I actually like.

The rest of the stuff he's been in I couldn't get into, even though he always nailed the role.
He was great in Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides too... even though the film itself wasn't very good.
Not a fan of Harry Potter at all though. Still though, you never forget Griffiths' role.

Thinking about Superman 2, the first thing I ever saw him in when I was a toddler, he was the age I am now when he did that
